John Rambo and Dave Ron served in Vietnam together. After they returned home, they realized that most Americans hated them for the actions that they were ordered to complete while overseas. This made Dave feel resentment towards the world. When John tried to reach out, Dave cut ties and went completely off the grid. Dave went crazy, thinking that everyone was out to get him.
