Puddle Cruiser Audience Reviews

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
zaneta-422-543342 For a low budget, first film, I think this movie rocks. I like the humor in it, especially cause it's just like going to college so it kinda takes you back. I'm a film junkie so I loved seeing what they did on such a low budget and I thought they did an incredible job. Their humor and directorial techniques have evolved and gotten better through the years, but I still appreciate Puddle Cruisers as a good indie film. The main story is interesting enough, but I really love the side stories and all the hilarious characters they use. You can't expect it to be like Super Troopers, but it delivers the same great humor and shenanigans throughout the movie.
Ornlu Wolfjarl This was actually the first film Broken Lizard did together. I did not expect much from it, comparing Supertroopers and Beerfest (their latest 2 films) to Club Dread (the one they did after this one). However, I was not completely disappointed. The script and the dialogues were not that funny, however I always found myself smiling throughout the movie, and laughing at intervals. The good thing about this comedy is that it does not bring the actors to extremely embarrassing and annoyingly fictional confrontations like other college comedy/romance films (such as American Pie for example). With a small budget these guys managed to make a pretty realistic comedy which can give out laughter spontaneously, if you relax and enjoy it. Another plus for this movie is that the troupe probably created it out of something they thought while drinking at parties and having fun, so it contains a lot of genuine humour, which as I said will not make you burst laughing, but it still pleases and makes the film even more memorable. However, the acting sucks a bit (except Freaky Ricky), but it's something to be expected from such a young and unexperienced cast at that time. Also some scenes of the film build up to be funny, but leave you hanging with question marks around your head instead.Overall though, it's a nicely done film with genuine humour, nice atmosphere, averagely good characters and realistic situations where I'm sure people will think back to their own shenanigans (Supertrooper reference) while living student life.
sid2286 This is the first, independent film by Broken Lizard. The people who brought you such films as Super Troopers and Beerfest. This movie is a whole different kind of humor ( more like Clerks than their other movies). This movie relies less on slap stick and more on humorous situations that are not completely different from the normal college experience. The characters are not as wacky, but each one is more heart felt and real. And the story moves at a much slower pace than their other films but it is definitely worth a watch.7 out of 10
jasonklingensmith Super Troopers was an instant classic. Club Dread, while disappointing to many, had its moments. Puddle Cruisers has fewer moments. I saw this movie on the shelf of my local video store and saw at the bottom that it was made by the Broken Lizard group who made Super Troopers, so naturally I picked it up. I only found one scene to be laugh out loud funny. A far cry from Super Troopers. All in all, I was very disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone, unless you have an abundance of free time, and really need to kill some time. However, you're better off playing video games, or watching something that might make you laugh or think.
