Pink in the Clink Audience Reviews

Tockinit not horrible nor great
Pacionsbo Absolutely Fantastic
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
OllieSuave-007 The Pink Panther does a little masked caper short, where he was coerced into robbing a factory by the pointy-nosed man. However, a series of mishaps and funny errors results in the robber getting his plans foiled and the panther acting pretty clueless, but hilariously getting in the way of the robber's plans.Plenty of humor and slapstick stuff, but falls a little short of excitement overall, as the classic and crafty personality of the Pink Panther seemed to be absent in this short. Still, it's an entertaining cartoon.Grade B
TheLittleSongbird Pink in the Clink is not perfect. It is somewhat predictable in story, the laughter-track was not necessary especially when it wasn't used all that much in the first place and Pinky has been much more likable before, here we root for the little guy but not that much for Pinky. He and the little guy do work very well together and both are funny at least. And so is this cartoon, not much new but the gags are at least clever, timed well and not less than amusing, never too on the mean-spirited side despite what happens to the little guy. The pacing is crisp so that's another good reason why Pink in the Clink still entertains despite the story and a laughter track that gives the impression that the cartoon isn't funny. The animation is well drawn if wisely kept simple, with lively and elegant colours. And we also have very jazzy and catchy music, with a theme tune that hasn't lost its timeless quality despite that it's been heard so many times over the past half and century. So in conclusion, decent and funny stuff, if on the routine side with an unneeded laughter track and the sense that you feel more sorry for the little guy more than you do for Pinky here. 7/10 Bethany Cox
ccthemovieman-1 Overall, this was below-average Pink Panther cartoon, in my opinion, for a simple reason: there were very few laughs. It even had an annoying laugh-track but even the laugh-track didn't laugh much! That ought to tell you something. It wasn't boring, though. It all involves the Pink Panther, who is a porter at the train depot in this story, lugging a guy's heavy suitcase home....or at least he thought he was bringing it to the guy's house. It turns out the main is a thief and the briefcase is full of tools to burglarize the Acme Manufaccturing Company. The cartoon is about what happens in the burglary attempt. An odd twist to the story is the Panther robbing the robber during the middle of it. A guard dog, a stubborn safe and a few more obstacles make things really difficult for the crook.
Robert Reynolds This is a cute, though occasionally predictable, short with some great sight gags. There will be spoilers, so consider this a warning: The Pink Panther is forced, at gunpoint, into helping a burglar (his frequent foil, the little guy with a substantial temper) break into a building. This isn't the wisest move he could have made, as the Pink Panther causes him no end of troubles. By the end of the short, he's chased by a guard dog, picked up by an electro-magnet, squashed, squashed and blown up simultaneously and then finally blown up and basically shot through the wall at a police station. The Pink Panther even attempts to rob the burglar (talk about 'the biter bit'). It's entirely possible that the poor little guy is safer in jail than he is in close proximity to the Pink Panther! This short is on the Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection and is well worth seeing. Recommended.
