"On the other side" is about a family broke up due to the war between Serbia and Crotia. Damaged family relations, passing / losing years -alone, desperate, agony, hate-, unforgettable past memories, waking up from the bed by trying to be persuaded in "life must go on" are all the pieces of this amazing movie. It is drama, yes it is a sad movie but it is not a movie trying to extract your heart. As if a friend of yours is talking on her story in a cafe, peacefully, wisely, without exaggeration, with all her pure heart. I loved Zrinko Ogresta's (Director) way of telling story in this movie. No push, no tricks, no trying to get help from music or sound effects... like a reading pages by an impressive book... Ksenija Marinkovic (playing Vesna, main character) is absolutely over all stars. Terrific performance, there is not one scene where her role gets down. Her balance in her performance is just great! For me, one of the best in "On the Other Side" is to show you that all we are human being, yes we can be a murderer, a war criminal, a victim, a son of a notorious father... in the end, we all need to clean from all our sins and expecting for a mercy. Some can get and some cannot... I heartedly advise this movie.
