Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

princessstrickland21 This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad. I don't why, but I can tell they weren't trying. If Rob Schneider isn't busy ruining Adam Sandler movies, he destroy cartoons. I've seen Alaska, not a bad movie, but believe me, I've seen reviews and this doesn't look as if it's trying. The writing, horrendous, the voice acting, aren't trying, most of the movie is seeing with those three lemmings either pissing or farting. Do a favor, just no! Just NO!

Screen_Blitz Studios such as Pixar, Dreamworks Animation, Disney, and every once a while Sony Animation have gone so far to prove they are capable of helming animated flicks to make for a tasty treat for both children and adults alike. Unfortunately, even with a steller cast like Rob Schneider, Heather Graham, and Ken Jeong behind the voices of its colorful characters, this animated comedy can't seem to follow into their footsteps. Norm of The North, another cartoon tackling on ecological themes in the vein of films of 'Happy Feet', is a joyless ride that seems to have nothing offer of a truck load of childish potty jokes and wasted potential on a project that could have amounted to something other than a lazy cash-grab. Although Hollywood has driven far into the age when it is easy to please children of the single- digit category just by making an animated entry and throwing anything that resembles humor, this is one that is aimed squarely at kids and provides zero sense of fun for the adult crowd, even with its intellectual themes on protecting the environment at hand. Directed by Trevor Wall, this film follows Norm (voiced by Rob Schneider), a polar bear living the northern arctic. Arriving on their homeland is greedy real estate broker Mr. Greene (voiced by Ken Jeong) who explores this place and develops a plan on build condos over their land. Alarmed by the threat of losing their home, Norm takes advice from his grandfather (voiced by Colm Meaney) and wise-cracking bird Socrates (voiced by Bill Nighy) to set out to New York City with a trio of lemmings to stop the development. The only person he is able to turn to is no one other than Mr. Greene's representative Vera (voiced by Heather Graham). The computer animation is far from anything special, but that is the very least of the problems circulating this animated rote. For a start, why would anyone want to journey out into the arctic and make build into metropolitan area where there is a lack of good human resources? That place is no place for humans. Ignoring the questionable logic however, the film lacks the fun and excitement that made many animated pictures in the past entertaining hits for both the child and adult crowd. Even when you encounter the voices of actors like Rob Schneider, Heather Graham and Ken Jeong conducting the work behind the characters, you know you are in serious trouble when the best humor the creators can come up with involve a polar bear twerking to music and a trio of lemmings farting and urinating into a fish aquarium. If these the the creators trying to convince us that fart jokes and pee jokes are still funny, they are certainly not doing a stellar job. Arguably the only plus adults can leave with from sitting through this rote is the themes of preserving the environment and protecting your home, although George Miller's 'Happy Feet' executed this theme far more superior. Sitting through this movie, it seems more likely you will find yourself checking your watch more often than getting caught up in the attempts at laughter it tries throwing at you. Like most animated films though, parents should not be too surprised if their child chuckles at least once or twice as it easy to please the youngsters with silly little one-liners and slapstick gags. But for everyone else beyond the elementary-school age, it is almost complete boredom from start to finish. Norm of The North is a charmless animated cash-grab that fails to bring any surprises with its story and overly juvenile humor, and amounts to almost nothing an hour and a half of tedium. There are plenty of animated flicks bound to evoke laughter and excitement in the family of all ages. This movie is not one of them.

Reno Rangan Surely my review would annoy those who liked it. But the majority of who saw it was felt just like me. It has been 20 years since the first 3D animated feature film came. Not all the films released in this period were great. Some were technically sounded good and some were stories. If you had seen 'Hoodwinked!', you would know how awesome that story was, despite the poor animation production. But this film failed in all the department.I recently finished watching the first season of 'Trollhunters' and 'Miraculous Ladybug'. Even the television made products were much better than this film. Small budget, small production house et cetera is not an excuse. Thankfully, this is not the only bad animated feature I've seen so far in my life, but sadly it joins the list of those titles.Maybe! The little kids could enjoy it, who does not know to differentiate between good and bad. But for the adults, this is definitely skippable film. The best thing about this film was the message it carried, though, even for an animated film and a fantasy film, not convincing enough. It was kind of very similar to 'Delhi Safari'. In some perspective, I thought it was a remake of that. There are lots of other films similar to this like 'Chole & Theo', 'Happy Feet' and so on that you can try them instead.2/10

IlluminaTea Very entertaining. Contains huge plot holes, lots of unfunny humor, useless characters, ... everything about it is wrong, except maybe for one joke. So while the movie is very badly made, at least it's not boring, so you get some entertainment out of it. Give it as a prank gift maybe, but if your children are over ten years old and you expect them to take it seriously it might not work out so well.
