My Ghost Dog Audience Reviews

Manthast Absolutely amazing
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
JayD7217 Quite possibly one of the best magical animal movies ever made!!! With mischief and mayhem you be laughing and crying. One can only dream of creating such an epic film full of family fun. If only my deceased pet's ghost would come back to me and help me solve custody battles over my step dad and evil aunt. Frankly,I would be in heaven because I would be living the dream of being warped up in sticky situation full of hilarious antics and fabulous stereotypes of Italians and the obese. This "magic dog" will not only leave you wanting more but will magically win your heart over. One can only imagine what the sequels might hold in store for this dog and boy duo. I'm on pins and needles. I can only sum up this movie in one word.... WOWSOME.
princessbuttercup70 If you have a sensitive child, please do not let them see this movie! The actual scene of the dog being hit by the car is off screen, but they show the dog lying dead in the road for a full minute with it's owner crying over it's broken body. The plot and the acting DO NOT offset this very traumatic moment. It is not funny in the least and should have a PG rating instead of G. I would recommend the "Air Bud" series or "Zeus and Roxanne" if your child likes dog movies. My daughter loves golden retrievers (she has one named Sheba) and this movie really breaks your heart. Not only does the dog die, it comes back to help find the "bad guys" only to have to say goodbye at the end and go back up to heaven. Talk about a double whammy!
mademoiselle_end Once again this film is a great example how adults take kids for complete idiots. This is the story of a 12-year old who has lost his dog and goes to find the robbers who killed Lucky by accident. It would have been more convincing if he had been 8 to 10.. not 12. 12 is when you start Junior High School and you are supposed to be just a little bit more mature than this. But if we continue to infantilise our youths, of course it makes a society of idiots like the one we are living in now! Also, the casting was awful, Russ Tamblyn (who I loved in Twin Peaks) can't maintain the Italian accent for more than two consecutive words. Every character is so exaggerated, even a toddler will find it too much. Aunt Violet was based so much on Cruella Deville (101 Dalmatians) that it's almost plagiarized! This really feels like a movie some man has decided to shoot using his friends and family as actors. But it's not even as bad as to be considered funny. The plot itself is thin. We've seen I don't know how many times films about kids playing detectives.. why try making yet another one and as badly as this one? Do us all a favour and don't show this to your kids, it's an insult to their intelligence.
kgainsss This is a very touching story that contains drama, love and humor. It's about a boy who has a dog that meets an untimely end when he is struck by a car (shown off-screen so it's OK for the kids). The dog is the same one that starred in "Fluke". The boy has to cope with his loss... and as the title suggests, the dog comes back as a ghost to help the boy and his family. Good humor and some slapstick.
