A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

The acting in this movie is really good.

The plot is very simple and not original. Lead actress does a good job but the movie is all about that and a few eye pleasing scenes. Rest is boredom with longer than necessary scenes. Nothing is developed and minor things float around all through the movie.Despite building any tension or helping the movie at all some scenes are much longer than necessary. Many parts are fruitless with story being never close to neither reality nor absurd. The pace never increases and the ending doesn't do enough to save it.

This movie got more interesting as it went on. I won't spoil anything, but the plot continued to thicken in ways that didn't make the story feel cheap or riddled with coincidences. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and, for a movie that starts off as nothing, it really turns into something crazy. The performances were fantastic, specifically Hye-Ja Kim, and the music was really nice. Overall, a good mystery movie with an amazing plot and great acting to make it spectacular all the way to the end.

A South Korean crime drama. A mother's son is accused of murder and she sets out to prove his innocence.Do-joon is accused partly because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, partly because his mental disabilities impede his memory resulting in him innocently accepting the accusations put against him and partly because the local police are desperate to 'solve' the crime. This is a riveting story, beautifully filmed. Occasionally it drifts away from the main narrative resulting in it being a little longer than perhaps it needs to be but ultimately it is very satisfying viewing that rewards the viewer's patience.

The story is a very nice example of how a movie screenplay and direction can be designed very well to play on audiences' precedents and turn them all around at a very quick instance. I really like how the movie kind of opens up with a shocking sequence that really summarized all the important characters in it. And as all Boon Joong Ho works, this movie is also not excluded of his depictions of gruesome things, although they don't really cross the line of being overly graphic. I like how the movie's opening scene seems like it's ts ending and then all those twists and turns just keeps rushing in. I even thought that there is still another twist to it when Do Joon chats about why the body is put on a high place. The acting really focuses on Kim Hye Ja and Won Bin's acting works. But in overall the acting looks very nice. Kim Hye Ja kept the constant expression of a sorrowful mother that doesn't stop for anything very well. Won Bin also acted out well as an idiot that has his responses almost like they are programmed in him.
