A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

While the premise was good and the acting was fine, what it needed was Morgan going full tilt and not against a bunch of scientists. Lee Weathers should have brought a 'team' of hard piping mercs to help her. Then Morgan can show she's something special when she wastes right through them. And then when Lee wins the final battle the audience realises she's not what she seems. Just me. At any rate, Kate Mara's performance was the best part of the flick. Cheers.

Good story with a few clever twists and turns. This Sci Fi thriller is entertaining and for a fleeting moment makes you wonder what the future holds for mankind. Generally well acted. Would we watch it again, absolutely. Retained for future viewing.

Why was this movie made? Here's a likely scenario. The son of a rich, talented, successful director needed to cut his teeth on his first directing job. Pick a popular genre, horror. No point in making a movie in a small market, say an Eskimo Sword and Sandal. Pick a script that doesn't need a big budget, no special effects, just a few run of the mill stunts. No big studio sets, film it in the wilderness. Have a small cast, save on payroll. But spend a generous portion of the budget on a good professional cast, but on the other hand you don't need A listers. This is a savvy way you cut your teeth in the movie business.But... the ball was dropped on one crucial guideline, though. If you want to appeal to the broadest audience possible always have a least one likable character!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To be fair, some characters started out likable but then they all turned stupid.

"Morgan" is a slow-moving, dialogue-filled artificial intelligence thriller which lacks the action or horror elements many viewers expected from the movie, thus turning it into a major critical and commercial disappointment. The film benefits mainly from its great A-list cast, including an amazing Kate Mara, the surprisingly good performers Anya Taylor-Joy and Rose Leslie as well as talented and experienced veteran actors Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Cox, Paul Giamatti and Toby Jones (all of whom are not granted more screen time than just a few minutes, unfortunately). Acting-wise, the movie convinces on every level, yet it lacks in the writing department and struggles to make it up by its visuals (which are stunning indeed; the movie is gorgeous to look at, but can that be enough to turn it into a good film?). Overall, "Morgan" remains a shallow exploration of themes which have been examined in movies many times before, without offering a decent pay-off or anything that could possibly amount to more than just an average film.
