Mithya Audience Reviews

Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
HottWwjdIam There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Pinto Chaudhari Mithya,a movie directed by Arindam Chaudhuri, who is generally called as a Management Guru and known as the best marketing guru. This is the best movie i have seen.If I talk about the story,The movie is about VK (Ranvir Shorey) is a jugadoo junior artist who lives from day to day. He is working as an extra on a movie which stars Sonam (Neha Dhupia). Not surprisingly, VK likes Sonam from afar. However, his existence is very peripheral and after one really bad day he decides to go to the seaside with his adhia of whiskey and a glass that comes free with it. He finds himself witnessing a shootout between two rival gangs. He goes to the police and finds the gang of Gavde (Naseeruddin Shah) on his tail. He is abducted and finds that he is the spitting image of Raje, the rival Don. Gavde plans to kill Raje and implant VK in his place, to finish the gang from inside.
Lily Rathor Mithya is a complete entertainment package and people must see this film just to see the superb performance by all, specially Ranvir in a double role this time. The film starts with about how a simple man VK (Ranvir Shorey)tries his best to really make a mark for himself in the film industry. while attempting to really prove his mettle VK the simple man get caught into the web of murky underworld politics. He is cleverly manipulated by Nasserudin shah, Shaurabh Shukla and their allies.the background music is wonderfully done. Mithya is for people who love watching different types of film. The script is very crisp and fresh. there are comic relief and the film doesn't drag unnecessarily.
Rakhi Savant Mithya is a movie that tells the story of the Mumbai underworld and how people who go to the place to make a career are trapped accidentally to work for them. This is what happens to the leading man,Ranvir Shorey. He is a young aspirant who goes to Mumbai for a job but somehow is trapped by the underworld and forced to work for them. Some how he had to escape from all this and how Ranvir does all this and his performance throughout is awesome.Ranvir is a talented man and has shown it again and again with his brilliance in most of the films. He is superb as a comic hero and if not excellent, good in serious roles as well.Bollywood needs heroes like him who are versatile. Mithya which also means lie is the story where everybody has to lie to survive. It is based on the mammoth conspiracy that seems foolproof, a don who could not tolerate betrayal. Its about VK who could not live a life of treachery and Sonam who at no cost wanted to go against her heart.Mithya is about destiny, fate and lies and the fact destiny does not always favor the truth. The movie really teaches a lesson or two and should be watched to see Naseerudin Shah's lovely performance.
Piyas Banerjee We've had a lot of movies of late that signify a promising future, and this one carries forward the future of Bollywood. Directed beautifully by Rajat Kapoor (who was also involved with Bheja Fry), this movie is all you want a movie to be- Crisp storyline, brilliant acting, entertaining dialogues, and riveting as a whole. Ranvir Shorey revels in the lead role, very smoothly fitting into the roles of V.K. the actor and Raje the Don, and he gets even better when he's playing both the roles in the same body! He is truly a great actor, and if this is the direction Bollywood chooses to take, then he will be at the helm of it. Vinay Pathak as usual gives a dedicated performance, funny with the tinge of darkness. His buddy is also fantastic, and his dialogue delivery and accent are hilarious. All in all, an excellent experience, and the last line of the movie makes you realise, that its not just a dark comedy.
