This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

I saw this movie out of boredom and, well, I can't say I wasn't entertained. The combination of unsynchronized audio/visual, the acting, and special effects made me want to watch it over and over again. Indeed, I know little to nothing about movie editing, but after watching this I began to appreciate just how difficult it is to match audio/visual. And, I can imagine how much more difficult it is to make it appear as if a hawk or mouse is talking, even if there is no need show lip movements. I say this is one of the few movies that I can't compare to any other movies. While most motion pictures get boring after watching them repeatedly, I get the same kick out of this film as I got when I first watched it. And, so I give it my rating of three stars, for a funny movie that I can watch with anyone, anytime, and will always receive the same reaction: Why did you buy this?

Hello.I encourage anyone who has not seen the film to watch it and judge for yourself. It has the flavor of "Harry Potter"; "Lord of the Rings" and "Stuart Little". I played Tom T. Tot. I have been in the the acting business quite a while. I have found that there is a type of review you may need to be wary of - the one that is totally negative or abusive. It turns out that sometimes other film makers or actors who are jealous, deliberately write bad reviews to make their competition look bad. They realize their product is not as good and they "poison the well" before anyone has had time to drink. I get no residuals or perks and I am not afraid of criticism.Anytime I watch the film, I am entertained. My understanding is that when the market was canvassed it was well received by 8 to 10 year olds, especially girls. Younger folk like it as well. I enjoyed making the film. I will not comment on my own performance, other than to say the director & writer were pleased and it makes me nervous watching me play this frenetic character - but that was the whole idea anyway. In general, I am told I am most kids' favorite character. I appreciate that because I work hard to entertain. Parents have told me that their kids re-watch it. What greater praise can a actor who does a kid's film receive than that the person with the least longest attention span, is so entertained, that they want to see the film again. But you watch it and judge for yourself.I am not going to comment on every actor, but I think Tim & Princess are very good and the mouse is very entertaining. The prosthetic make-up is superb. The plot is cohesive. The film quality is good, if not better than many other independent films I have seen. The fight scenes are well choreographed and believable. Although the other make-up is good and the acting in general gives the film a storybook feel. Hey it is a kid's film! The special effects are primitive but highly effective. I think it is the adults that want all the bells and whistles but the kids are satisfied with the simple and let their imagination do the rest.Note: The Queen & Tim's mother are not the same actress as some have alleged. The sound was "recorded" live and then re-dubbed two times. It turns out the sound "engineer" delivered a product of which nearly all of it was unusable. He never received a screen credit it was so bad. After we dubbed in the sound, then we had to do it again because someone lost/deleted the copy. For something that has been dubbed twice, I think it is a spectacular job.Your continued "balanced" comments about my performance and the film are welcome. If anyone would like to offer some constructive criticism as to how I could have performed better or what I should have done differently, I am all ears (pun intended).

Anyone who claims that this is the worst movie ever has simply not seen enough movies. If you want to see some things that are truly reeking, smelly crap fests, I suggest checking out some of those Brain Damage or York Entertainment horror and/or urban SOV/DTV programmers. Those flicks are so bad, they don't make it past the category of home movie. At least MAX MAGICIAN can boast the fact that it's actually shot on 35mm film, has some decent make-up effects and a professional original score. That said, this film is indeed one of the absolutely lamest films I have ever inflicted on myself. Basically take a standard issue Disney/Family Channel movie, take it down ten notches and remove any all production value and talent and you're left with this turd. Editing is lousy, the cinematography is pedestrian, the writing is laughable and let's not even get started on the acting. Throw in a squad of LARPers and Ren fest refugees and you've got a five car pile up of a movie. It makes you wish MST3K was still on the air because would be a great follow up to FINAL SACRIFICE.As a parting shot as I must mention the truly abominable special effects. In this day and age when Star wars fan films can boast to having an impressive level of scale and gloss, the only effects this movie can boast of are an occasional matte, a sparkling effect that shows up waaaaay too often, and that reaally tacky effect where you put the camera on a tripod and then start and stop it to make somebody vanish. Lame? You betch your arse!

Seriously, calling this bit of tape "cinema", "a film", or "a movie" is to do those who tread the boards and wield movie cameras for a living a disservice. Be warned before you watch this movie that it literally took over THREE DAYS to make it through. I had never before realized how stilted dialog could be, nor how bad editing could be, nor how insipidly bad "actors" could be...again I shouldn't be calling them actors because that is doing those who act a disservice. This movie could have been a full half it's running time shorter if the "editor" had simply culled the two to three second gaps between lines from the poorly dubbed dialog out along with the useless frames of the actors saying something completely different. This movie renews my faith in true cinematography, because I had assumed that the worst movie I'd ever seen, "Blood Rayne", was the worst a movie could be... however, by comparison, "Blood Rayne" should have won an academy award! The best idea that I have seen thus far for this movie is to watch it with a group of friends...and take a drink every time there is a pause in dialog due to bad editing or every time a mouse giggles. The person still alive by this line: "I can fly...I can fly...*thump*" wins!
