The director of the movie Mufit Can Sacinti (Taking the leading role again as modern time philosopher Mustafa Ali) has yet surprised us again with its sequel movie based its ideas from Praise of Idleness, that is written by Bertrand Russell.I was quite skeptical about the following movie shooting. First of all, Mustafa Ali was well against of the metropolis life in the first place, so shooting the second movie in Istanbul, I honestly thought that was the worst idea ever. But yet even with many question marks (Like how did Mustafa Ali find out that his father was sick when he doesn't use any means of modern time communication), they find an Okay excuse to bring "Mandira Filozofu" to the mighty city of Istanbul. The movie protects its roots. It's again really warm but includes some negatives such as acting of many supporting actors and cheesy scenes that tries to giggle the crowd in the theater were really making me suffocate in the beginning. (Such as the toilet scene, Slapping the college boy one after another, Implication of metal-heads' cat eating again for the millionth time!!! Like seriously?) I am sure that this movie's audience was definitely not looking for these kind of silly lines and jokes.I have to admit that I gave my rating to this movie as being sentimental, since the movie just repeated itself but this time with being a complete cliché. Though if you like the first movie as I did, I think you will enjoy this one too. Only don't expect to see great acting, because there is no more Rasim Oztekin as in the previous one and no more stunning views of southwestern bays of Turkey.Looking for better movie nowadays? I recommend you to watch "Limonata" instead if you are looking for a Turkish movie.

I watched the first one, Mandira Filozofu, and it was so beautiful and realistic, but this one only try to emphasize that capitalism is bad, harmful etc. I think it can be helpful to recognize something, but performances are rarely pleasurable. On the other hand, if someone watches it, he/she will be pleased, because in the last one, there is nothing about Mustafa Ali's father and his new love, but this one includes not only one but also a lot of effects of modern life on people such as university life, site life, companies, private schools, planned children...Finally, I think this film cannot be watched for artistic pleasure, it can watch for daily fun.

I went to the cinema to just to spend some time. I had not so much expectation but this movie really surprised me. It was great to watch the movie so that it provoked me to some thoughts about our daily lives. Producer Mr. Müfit has done an excellent job. He attracts our attentions of our ordinary lives and problems in the system of capitalism. He makes us to see from a different perspective. This is also a comedy film that laughed me a lot.The subject is handled step by step and is binded well at the end. It finishes sweetly. Congrulations to Mr. Müfit and we hope to keep himself up the good work.I suggested this movie already to my friends. Have a nice time watching.
