Mapinguarify This movie is about moral decay of film crew. It is heavyweight dark story that makes you sick, very realistic and interesting all the way through the film. It's dark, witty, depressive and movie that makes you sick at the same time. It's fake documentary about charismatic serial killer followed by film crew. At the some point, crew lose objectivity and start helping him.Probably, one of the best Belgian movies of all time. First I considered plot is moving too fast, but after I finished the movie, I am sure director caught right tempo and did the great job. Must see

redrobin62-321-207311 I don't get why this movie is referred to as being black comedy. There's nothing funny in this film. In fact, the movie had me on the edge of my seat for so long I felt like I was paralyzed. Never had a film instill this much fear in me except for the night vision scene in "Silence of the Lambs."I gave it a high ranking because it created a deeply visceral response in me where few films have. I think I was sweating just to get through this film, and was finally relieved when it did end. It was like my heart was going to jump out of my chest at any time. Man, this movie was suspenseful.What's interesting is "Man Bites Dog" was accomplished on a shoe- string budget by college film students. The reason I'd acquired the movie in the first place is because it was banned in something like 21 countries. I loved banned films because, as it turns out, what's bad for "normal" viewers is good for me. Other banned films I've enjoyed were "Baise Moi," "Cannibal," "Cannibal Holocaust," "I Spit On Your Grave," etc.

Jesus Christ I just saw the movie bout ten minutes ago and the second it finished I felt dirty. The movie makes you laugh at things that you wouldn't ever think you would be able to laugh to. The characters are a weird mix of extremely likable and extremely unlikeable. The movie has two scenes which made me want to fast forward 1. The rape scene 2. The child murder scene.The only problem i have with the film is that at times it get a little two slow and to much talking and the ending was a tiny bit too sudden. Overall it was a very funny and disturbing film which I'm not sure if I could watch it again soon because of the extremely hard to watch rape scene, I gave it a 8 out of 10.

uwa While I was watching this movie, I started to think about the 'real' documentaries that were made in late 80's and 90's, one of the documentaries which have won an Oscar, was about children selling themselves in order to earn money. I imagine, the directors also have watched these documentaries and started to ask themselves where is the line? which is a question often discussed by the documentarists. They gave a good spin to that idea and come up with making a documentary about a serial killer. The way they did is also brilliant, the acting is impeccable, except one scene all the scenes contains a humor and have a natural feel. It is really hard to believe that this movie was the first movie of the directors. I recommend you to watch it however don't expect Hollywood type motivations.
