Nearly every possible aspect of fimmaking used to produce the motion picture Signs (2002) is closely examined here. This serves as a good companion to the film, normally where a commentary track would. Though it does feature a portion of promotional value, it is still very informative and interesting to watch director M. Night Shyamalan at work.

Making 'Signs' Audience Reviews

SpunkySelfTwitter It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Humbersi The first must-see film of the year.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
ender342 is that almost nothing was. Slamming doors and creaking boards and creepy crop circles presage the most ridiculous alien invasion since Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Mr. Shyalaman's religiosity, so touchingly displayed in his earlier film 'Wide Awake', is a clumsy distraction here. (The 'Simon Birch-y' twist at the end will convert few skeptics to the true faith.) Fine performances by Gibson and young Rory Culkin are unable to rescue the stumbling script -- and Shyalaman's trademark Hitchockian cameo adds little but further irritation. Follow these Signs if you wish but I warn you: they will lead you to a dead end.PS I erroneously gave this film a vote of 3 out of 10. I meant the vote for 'Signs' itself, not for this description of its making.
musolacy I don't know what a spoiler is! As for the film: It was too dark and the sound was terrible! I even amplified through headphones and could not hear. I have not the foggiest idea what the movie was about! I tried to get the summary, but it just left me hanging! Who were the extra terrestrials? Why did they come? Why did they go away? What happened to the one which was battered? Now, I can read James Joyce so I am not lacking in intelligence! Mr. Gibson is a very fine actor whose performances I generally enjoy very much. However, he should know that whispers and childish voices do not carry well in films unless they are amplified or the whisper projected as the British actors learn to do. The darkness in which the film was shot was very distracting. It did add to the mystery-too much so! I am really frustrated as I did not understand what was going on!
