That, I suppose, adds a certain cleverness to the proceedings, a decade after the silent era of cartoons had ended. However, the situation comedy of the matter is workaday, so that we are supposed to simultaneously applaud its wit for making the birds like people and the people they are like being trite in their concerns. I find neither likely.
