Love and Distrust Audience Reviews

Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
LINDSAY NICHOLS I think this might be the biggest piece of crap I have ever watched in my life! Now, while I didn't have to pay to watch it (checked out from the library) I would like my 95 min back! Such a waste of time! I can't believe they got all those A-listers to be in that piece of crap video! Wow! The stories were so disjointed. I thought surely they would connect all the little stories by the end or something. Or if the stories had all been from a different decade (that is what I thought would be the deal when the first story started in 1969) that may have given it something, but no that wasn't the case. There is no redeeming quality at all to this movie. It was just so disjointed and weird. Sorry to say.
bots-de132 Personally I thought it was a decent film. For me, it was totally hit or miss. Blue Poles felt pedant vs. dilettante which I felt was missing the concept and it felt so rushed that it was a bore. While, I enjoyed Pennies, I felt that Amy Adams performance was the brightest spot of the entire film. Like I said, the stories are definitely hit or miss. Grasshopper was decent as well, with the twist ending. While the Summer Love was awful due to the teenage angst portrayal by Robert Pattinson and the unrequited love. All the reviewers are mad that it was an anthology film, well obviously if the f***ing description at RedBox says its an anthology film. I am alright with seeing it once, but this film is really a one time thing and I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Its a 5.4 out of ten in my book
mawbies Where do I begin with this one. Let me just start off by saying that I am a big fan of movies, and I am very liberal in reviewing them. This is actually my first review on IMDb, this movie was so crappy that I felt compelled to register and review it, in the hopes that others will be spared the agony. I feel genuinely misled by the inclusion of some excellent, big name actors. By the way, the acting was very good, the stories just sucked. They were short and pointless. They didn't tie together. I got a bad feeling while watching the previews and it got progressively worse- by the time this was over I was actually very angry for some reason, mostly because the stories were just stupid. My girlfriend rented this from Red Box and I feel like I have to break up with her now. I also feel like I should at least email whoever owns Red Box. This is the type of movie that makes me want to just stick to tried and true "hits" and don't give other movies a chance if they seem iffy. Just a HORRIBLE turd of a movie.
polarsjenn Oh my! I really want my 1.5 hrs & my rental money back. This movie was awful. First of all, I didn't realize it was going to be 5 unrelated short clips. My mistake. Apparently seeing the big names that were in it were enough to rent it without research. I felt like I was watching the Twilight Zone or Creep Show where nothing makes sense and there is no rhyme or reason why these clips were put all together in one movie. When it ended abruptly and did not tie in together AT ALL, I seriously said WTF? I hopped online immediately after it ended to review it so others will not have to endure this suffering. Don't rent it. It's not worth your time or money.
