Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

This documentary directed by William Karel is very close to a complete character assassination of french president Nicolas Sarkozy and portrays him as an complete failure as president of France.Personally I know very little about Sarkozy, France and it's domestic policy but this film conducts several interviews with foreign correspondents from newspapers, TV, etc from all over the world such as the BBC, The Economist, The Times, The New York Times, Al Jazeera etc. Therefore the viewer gets a really broad spectrum from various types of journalists what they think about Sarkozy. And it is not a pretty picture they are showing, Sarkozy seems more about building a good media image about himself then being able to govern France, do a responsible foreign policy etc.According to this documentary Sarkozy hasn't managed to succeed with much of his promises that he made early on in his presidency and he comes across as an arrogant, insecure, troublemaker. There are some really hilarious moments here when Sarkozy tells a man who is critical to him to get lost, Sarkozy being late at meeting in the Vatican etc. All these anecdotes and more makes him an easy target and thus gives the impression that Sarkozy is completely incompetent, and resembles George W. Bush, the 43rd president of USA.But is this really an accurate description of Sarkozy and his politics? Is hard to say, but it would been interesting to see what Sarkozy had said himself on some of these serious accusations made about him.Or at least what his party colleagues or former collaborators like Jacques Chirac, Dominique de Villepin etc think about him, good or bad.Definitely worth a watch even though it has a very bias tone against Sarkozy, and lacks a fair and balanced view.
