It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.

The film begins with an older brother and sister arguing and using incredibly coarse language. This continues for some time and it feels like you are watching outtakes from "The Jerry Springer Show". Then, abruptly the film switches to hot incest action. Then, just as abruptly, heads start exploding and guts start spilling. This was a bad film and it looks like something some high school students might make for YouTube. Technically, it just wasn't very good (though I'll give it a point for the exploding head) and the story is just unlikable that I wonder why I even watched this film.If you like an incomprehensible story, offensive content AND exploding body parts, then this film is for you--otherwise, steer clear.

I just saw this film recently, as one of three horror-themed shorts featured at the Texas Frightmare Weekend convention in Dallas. All I have to say is this: if you consider yourself a 'jaded' horror fan who's seen it all, get ready for something that has the stunning effect of someone putting a taser to your crotch. An unsettling and disorienting blend of Cronenberg and Lynch, the deceptively simple story is about a family - brother, sister and father - headed up to the family farm on a road trip. The relationship between the three is contentious to say the least, but the jittery visuals and the soundtrack, which makes the stomach churn and the ears itch, hint at much darker doings than just dysfunctional dynamics. And in an honest effort to make this review spoiler-free, I refuse to say any more, except that if you are lucky enough to be given the opportunity to see LITTLE FARM, set aside those ten minutes and watch it. I can promise you that writer/director/co-star Calvin Reeder will provide you with an unforgettable experience, especially an ending that would make even Tobe Hooper or Wes Craven sit up and say "What the f...????"
