Stylish but barely mediocre overall

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

And I am not a big fan of either. Science fiction has never been my genre and the Lego animation style which has become really popular in recent years was never among my preferred styles either. I will say that I think the screen-shot of Yoda used here on the film's title page is pretty nice, but these 21 minutes are not even close to that in terms of how good they are. There are actually quite a few Lego Stars Wars film and the director is as usual Michael Hegner. The writer is Michael Price a 2-time Emmy Award winner for "The Simpsons". All in all, I must say this was not a particularly exciting watch and, like I wrote in the title, you need to be a great fan of Star Wars and also of Lego in order to appreciate this. Then you will probably like it. Otherwise you can just skip. Not recommended.

Yes we get it already, many people and even the creators and cast can make fun of Star wars. But how about making a show with the target audience being teenager or OLDER. How about making a show where the characters don't look like parody's of there self, and as hard it may be, how about they don't even act like parody's of them self. How about a show where the plot is mature, true to the title Star Wars, and dose not do things which conflicts with the movies? Is that freaking too much to ask?Not like there's not enough money... star wars titles in the last decade did pretty much nothing else but ripping of kids money by launching garbage shows which from they could sell garbage toys. Or is there no creative person in Lucasfilms and Disney how can come up with mature entertainment? If your around six, chances are you might enjoy this, and probably will want to buy hole arsenal of Lego star wars stuff. If your older it probably will just annoy you. And may raise the question in you, like it did in me "why they put the standards so low"
