Legally Blonde Audience Reviews

TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
HottWwjdIam There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
Cody One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
bbewnylorac Do not take this movie seriously. Legally Blonde is a kooky comedy that delivers what it says on the packet. Reese Witherspoon is fine as Elle Woods, an apparently airhead blonde who goes to law school to get back at her jock ex-boyfriend, who thinks she's brainless. Initially a laughing stock due to her ditzy dress and manner, Elle wins everyone over and gains self respect by studying hard and winning the trust of her socialite client in a murder case. A big plus for me is the fact that Jennifer Coolidge plays Elle's best friend - a beautician with a crush on the postman. Basically Coolidge is hilarious. Even when she grimaces she's funny. Like Luke Wilson, who plays Elle's love interest, Coolidge is an under-estimated actor. The movie's 'message' of not judging people (i.e. blondes) by their appearances is nice, but a little unconvincing, considering Elle seems to place high value on beauty and appearances, And that there are not many normal looking or non white people in the cast. But again, don't analyse Legally Blonde too deeply. It's a nice chick flick. Enjoy it during a relaxing night at home.
tvelasco-99555 I love the opening credits scene, because where the film is dancing and also I really loved it! Elle is my favorite character and she is very pretty and she likes to wear pink for the performance. The best scene is Elle makes her way to the elevator and gets stuck or something.
Uriah43 Under the impression that she is soon to be betrothed, "Elle Woods" (Reese Witherspoon) is heartbroken when her boyfriend ends the relationship because he is headed for Harvard and wants someone who is more intelligent and serious than her. So to prove to him that she is the serious person he is seeking she decides to apply for the Harvard Law School--and somehow gets accepted. As a result the bubbly--but rather protected and naive--social debutante from Bel Air finds herself like a fish out of water among highly competitive--but extremely snobby--students and needs to find a way to succeed in a world that she is not accustomed to. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that despite being somewhat predictable and full of clichés, this film still managed to be funny in its own unique way with Reese Witherspoon being tailor-made for her particular role. In short, while it may not be the best comedy ever made it was still entertaining enough and I have rated it accordingly. Slightly above average.
puidokasshay Legally BlondeThe classic "chic-flick." The feel good movie. Actor Reese Witherspoon plays college student Elle Woods, a charming, bubbly, and kind heart-ed Los Angeles sorority girl who positively impacts the lives of everyone she encounters. After being dumped by Warner, her Harvard Law-bound boyfriend, Elle is heartbroken. He expressed to Elle that he is obligated to marry, "a Jackie not a Marylyn." Not taking no for an answer, Elle decides to follow her heart and leave her sorority and attend Harvard Law in order to win him back. Reese's excellent acting, production elements, and the overall message of the film will leave you wanting more. With her bleach blonde hair and designer clothing, she is seen as a Barbie doll, or a "dumb blonde", before being credited for her intelligence and positive influence on others. Reese portrays Elle perfectly, in an extremely comical way yet still particularly believable. Her tone of voice can change drastically based on her mood, and her humor is contagious. She carries a great deal of confidence and charisma with her, and speaks with such positive's to everyone which is special to watch. Elle encourages others to do their best which makes being the viewer inspirational because you feel like you are able to take the motivation and positive's that Elle shows in the film, and use in it your own personal life. Elle's life is a roller-coaster of excitement, which means sororities, men, crazy friendships, and lots of fun and glamour which is a treat in itself to watch. The camera work is pleasing to the eyes, and the soundtrack is agreeable to the ears. In the beginning of the movie when the sorority was first introduced, the camera frame perfectly captured the essence of what the common audience would picture a sorority to look like: the women were working out, putting on make-up, and doing their hair while upbeat music played in the background, which effectively set the scene and gave the audience the knowledge of where Elle Woods comes from. Sure, that could be boring to watch if you are not interested in stereotypical "chick-flicks." However, the sarcasm and humor that the characters use appeal to anyone and everyone. Elle's life can make anyone envious and the camera work, and the soundtrack only add to the pleasure. Every song fits the emotional state of Elle Woods, which can range from heart break, to over the moon with joy. Overall this movie will make you laugh until you cry, and just plain ole' cry from the emotional connection you feel from the characters in Elle's life. This movie can boost your spirits by making you feel that anything is possible. Following Elle's relationship and life journey is an experience that will keep you guessing and laughing all the way through the film. Whether you just got out of a relationship, need a little motivation or are just looking for a good laugh this light heart-ed movie will appeal to any of your needs.
