Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
Lidia Draper
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Matylda Swan
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

LAKE PLACID 3 is the third in the long-running series of disappointing creature features about B-movie actors getting munched on by crocodiles. The ones in this film vary in size and distribution, but they always end up biting down on badly-acting cast members in various cheesy interludes. I actually found this a little more enjoyable than others in the series, purely because it features the great Michael Ironside doing his thing as the town sheriff. Other notable cast members include HARD TARGET's Yancy Butler (who now has the worst voice in the world) and, for British TV viewers, Roxanne Pallett, of EMMERDALE fame. This was her breakout Hollywood role, but it merely involves her stripping naked for the opening sequence and quickly dying. Speaking of nudity, the unrated version features a rather large amount of it, more so than the bloodshed, so it's obvious the market being aimed at. Otherwise expect the usual trite dialogue and bad CGI.

Try not to think to hard about the impossibilities of cold blooded prehistoric crocodiles not having to bask long hours in the sun. Don't think about the young boy who has fed these same crocs for TWO years without anyone noticing any crocodiles anywhere. Nor think about the giant crocs knowledge of household layouts or their ability to quickly move and navigate through dense woods. The monster size crocs look like they are made of rubber. The movie has a couple with a son move into a home when grandma dies. Grandma kept a chainsaw in the refrigerator. On the first day, the son finds the crocs and feeds them as pets, careful not to get too close. Unlike adults, boats, and automobiles, the crocs don't attack him. Dad is a wildlife ranger and mom is a Realtor. There is a sheriff who claims there are no crocs. The lake has been searched with sonar. The are four college kids out camping/ swimming on the lake. There is also a woman who is a guide for poaching elk who takes out a party which include one college kid searching for his girlfriend who is part of the said four. The story is simple. You could probably guess most of it by now and the only real question is who lives and who dies. The movie includes the standard 1980's three gratuitous nude scenes, including one early full frontal in the unrated version. One sex scene. PLOT SPOILER: The babysitter keeps her clothes on.

Before the opening credits, a nice looking young man and woman take off all their clothes to swim nakedly and enjoy copulating. Unfortunately, during the latter, they are eaten by "Lake Placid 3" crocodiles. Almost a year since the passing of eccentric old Sadie Bickerman from "Lake Placid 2" (2007), the community has (again) been lulled into a false sense of security (and forgetfulness). A new group of crocodiles is looming in the lake. Arriving on the scene, and providing continuity, are Bickerman relatives. Instead of crazy ladies, we have a family. They are zoologist Colin Ferguson (as Nathan Bickerman), his realtor wife Kirsty Mitchell (as Susan) and their son Jordan Grehs (as Connor). He likes to feed the crocodiles...Like the previous entries, this sequel has a few strained story lines. In addition to the family, there is the hunter; this time it's a woman, scenery-chewing elk poacher Yancy Butler (as Reba). Leading the "young adult" group is handsome Mark Evans (as Brett) and his arousing girlfriend Kacey Barnfield (as Ellie). As expected, they are supported by mostly annoying college-aged youngsters, who make great crocodile bait. Bikinis and breasts are generously displayed. Versatile director G.E. Furst shows some promise, note how skillfully he introduces the father and son. There are also promising alterations in the "Lake Placid" formula. Unfortunately, and considering the resources, nothing lifts this shaky story above mediocrity.*** Lake Placid 3 (8/21/10) G.E. Furst ~ Colin Ferguson, Yancy Butler, Jordan Grehs, Michael Ironside

I was kind of 50/50 on what to think of this! I just watched with an open mind! It had a more slower paced & for the first time, a different opening to the Lake Placid Franchise! It starts a couple who go skinny dipping in the lake & as usual an attack takes place! This time 4-5 baby Crocodiles attack the couple in the most embarrassing way before gnawing on them & killing them! 2 Years later & the crocodiles have turned into adult crocodiles! The young boy keeps feeding them meat from their house & also steals from the supermarket in order to feed them! The kills were abit cut out in the film & the bloody graphics were almost as good as Lake Placid 2! The graphics, AKA, CGI was cheaply done just like the previous film! The Crocodiles looking unrealistic & the attacks looking fake with several rending errors noticeable with the cheap CGI! Like the biting effects looked really fake & not meaty or even realistic! The film consists of Teens who go camping (& Yes you guessed it! Strip naked & change into bikinis which is slightly different but all the same! Seen it all & done it all! In other words!), some hunters including an over-her-head hunter, Reba! Including the family, babysitter & the son who was feeding the Crocodiles! The ending on the other hand with the petrol station was pretty good! Liked how the crocodile exploded into blood & guts by foolishly eating the petrol nozzle with petrol coming out!To say the least! I liked this film as much as the second, the second which I thought was just a tiny abit better for some reason! This one having abit more of a slower approach! It makes me wonder were all the Crocodiles come from in these sequels! But I was in 2 minds in what rating to give this film, so 9/10
