Best movie ever!
InformationRap
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Joe Dirt 2 is exactly what I expected,a decade late sequel that's much better than what passes for comedy these days. Combining a parody of The Wizard Of Oz with a parody of Forrest Gump, they throw in some clips from the first movie and you have something. For me,the most disappointing thing is all the plastic surgery poor Brandy has had.The whole Dennis Miller thing didn't make any sense but that was a tiny part. I'm sure the reviews on here are terrible and I don't even have to read them.I can see how the average person wouldn't get a lot of the jokes. The people who will say it's low-brow crap are the same ones who just don't get the jokes. While not as good as the first and not truly great,it's the best comedy this decade.

As other reviewers have mentioned, watch this movie for yourself, don't be mislead by the haters. Having no expectations, reading negative reviews, I had set the bar pretty low. Just like the first, I had no desire to watch it...but I'm glad I did. The story line allows for a funny sequel. There are references to characters from the first movie, funny jokes and encounters with new character(s) every scene. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Every minute was satisfying. This will end up as a cult classic, especially if you end up watching it several times.

This was a bad,bad movie... Completely awful, I don't even know where to begin. I really liked the first one, the story was cool, jokes were excellent, had that Adam Sandler humor going on. But this one - nothing. Absolutely nothing. I haven't had one laugh throughout the whole movie. They've managed to put in,at least 3 minutes long,"farting in the face" scene on the very beginning of the movie. And it got even worse after that!!! Farting, nuts stuck in the toilet scene, farting, dick in the popcorn scene, farting, boobs, gay jokes, boobs, farting... Such a shame what they did with this movie. You can see that even the actors don't give a damn, they don't even try to make it better. What a nasty way to take people's money! In the end - nothing made any sense, especially why i watched it whole the way through.I just feel more stupid now!I don't recommend it, don't watch it! Better take a two hour nap or something, it will be a time better spent!

"It's not 2015, it's 1965." Joe Dirt (Spade) has the perfect life. Beautiful wife, great kids and is happy, but still doesn't think he's good enough. After a tornado rips through his town Joe finds himself in the past. Trying to figure out how to get back home Joe realizes that this is his chance to change who he is and become the person he thinks his wife Brandy (Daniel) really wants. The more he tries to change the worse things get. This is a sequel that I'm not sure many people were asking for. That said it wasn't that bad. There was some funny stuff in this and was about the same type of humor, maybe a little more sappy, than the original. I do really like David Spade though. The movie was a mix of Forrest Gump, Wizard of Oz and It's A Wonderful Life all mixed with a redneck spin, and to me that actually helped it and was very fun to watch. This is nothing that will become a classic, and it would have bombed bad in theaters, but as far as a rental and watch at home movie you could do worse. I liked it and was entertained enough by it. Overall, if you liked the first one you will like this one too. I give it a B.
