Jackass: The Movie Audience Reviews

LastingAware The greatest movie ever!
Crwthod A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Walter Sloane Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
nash I love this movie for multiple reasons. The way it was filmed reminds me of something me and my friends would film, as it is very DIY and low budget. The camera appears to be a home video camcorder, and everything they do in the movie for the most part doesn't cost anything. They break many laws, harm themselves quite a bit, and document all of this into an hour long movie in a documentary type format. I looked up to Bam Margera a lot as a skateboarder when i was young and just started skating for whatever reason. So that's another reason why I like this movie a lot. And over all it gives off a pretty cool vibe, almost like you're there just hanging out with your friends.
Python Hyena Jackass: The Movie (2002): Dir: Jeff Tremaine / Cast: Johnny Knoxville, Steve O, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Chris Pontius, Bam Margera: Product of M-T.V. with a group acting out bizarre stunts to the appeal of our mischievous level in younger years. Pure spectacle without plot yet the concept has appeal. Its structure is a series of stunts all separated by a fading screen. We witness urination on a snow cone before it is digested. Other stunts include smash up derby with rental cars, golf cart wars, a boxing fight within a department store. One of the guys has a bowel movement in his pants before finishing in a brand new toilet. This is witness by shocked employees. There is an X-ray that reveals a toy car in someone's anal track. There is tight rope walking above a pit of alligators. And finally there is an electric shock treatment applied to the penis. Director Jeff Tremaine films it like a bad documentary, which works for the humour element. Among the crusade that perform these acts are Johnny Knoxville, Steve O, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, Bam Margera, and Chris Pontius who catch our attention despite our urge to resist. They tap into that willing urge to sin like the child wondering if he can obtain the cookie from the cookie jar without getting caught. Pointless wretch aimed at the wrong audience. As if there is actually a right audience for this sort of thing. Score: 7 / 10
Seth Landers Holy toledo, too many closed-minded and moronic pessimistic haters saying false things about this movie! It's not your typical movie. Of course there's a minimal story, it's an 85 minute "Jackass" episode. The characters are the cast from the infamous hit MTV show.So many laughs during this movie. A bunch of brave men, I'd say. Doing heroic things that most people don't even have the guts to do. Sure, there are disgusting scenes in it, some painful comic violence, and the stunts they do can be completely absurd at times. The whole point is that it's for your entertainment, that's why they are so appealing to watch!Henry Rollins, Tony Hawk, Eric Esch, Bam Margera's friends & parents, George Hruska, Naoko Kumagai, and Mat Hoffman make wonderful cameo appearances in the process of their production.I completely respect Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, Ryan Dunn (R.I.P.), Chris Pontius, and all the other Jackass cast & crew. Never has a documentary full of brilliant people attempting to do dumb stuff been so experimental that it ironically succeeds. This movie has high replay value and I feel honored to own a copy of it on DVD. Don't take it seriously, laugh, enjoy the Jackass cast, and you'll have a fun night!
namashi_1 A crazier and uncensored continuation of the stunts and pranks by the various characters of the MTV television series Jackass, 'Jackass: The Movie' is A Stunt Show! 'Jackass: The Movie' is 85 minutes long, and this reality film, offers some truly risky stunts, some nudity and embarrassing moments. Johnny Knoxville leads the bandwagon and also does some stunts sportingly. There is a particular gag, named as Butt X-Ray, where Ryan Dunn, one of the stars of this hit-flick, 'inserts a toy car wrapped in a condom into rectum and getting X-rays of the car inside his anus'! Do I need to say anything more? This flick is dangerous, funny & completely absurd!
