Excellent, a Must See

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

There's few movies that I really enjoyed watching, and this is definitely one of them.
I thought it was charming, clever and cleverly funny (not Marvel "so called" funny) and it has some of the best quotes.
the movie was on my To Watch-List for a long time, and I just watched it '2018', and oh my !!! I regret not watching it sooner.
{at some point I felt sad about a particular person, but the ending was satisfying}

Sadly a little too rom com for me. I believed the storyline but it was all a bit white-washed and sugar coated and minus the real depth that some classic rom coms can give you. Life isn't lived on the sugar puff that this film appears to be. Still, great to see a lesbian couple portrayed on screen, albeit in a slightly fluffy unrealistic world.

Ol Parker's film Imagine me and you in my opinion deserves way more recognition. The wonderful story of Rachel and Luce's hidden love for each other showed the true meaning of love. Rachel is set for her big day with Heck until she catches the eye Luce (the flower arranger for her wedding). It is a love a first sight for Rachel and also an awakening that she is marrying the wrong person. The script writing is brilliantly developed as the audience can see a real love connection between the pair. The dialogue also includes humour which makes the audience even more intrigued to the funny side of love. I love the way Parker presented Rachel as unsure about her sexuality or who she should be with - it is an accurate representation of someone questioning things. Also Piper Perabo's acting truly brought the character to life. The innocence of all the characters through out makes this movie even more memorising as we can see that the main theme throughout is love and that it can simply not be stopped. I also have to praise Matthew Good for portraying Heck with such humour and a caring nature and for once the husband not being the antagonist. What I also loved about the film was that it approached homosexuality in a realistic state by creating characters who were accepting of the two even Heck was supportive in letting Rachel go because it wasn't him who made her happy. The fact that Luce was open about her sexuality showed the audience how it should be in the real world.Overall the realism of the film gained its approval from me with its easy to love characters and its romantic dialogue, Imagine me and you is definitely one to watch if your genre is Rom-com.

Rachel (Piper Perabo) and Heck (Matthew Goode) are newlyweds, but Rachel slowly falls for the gay florist Luce (Lena Headey).It's good that even a lesbian rom-com can be unfunny and bland. Now, they are truly mainstream. This is a British film and there's a chance I missed all the jokes because of the accent. I highly doubt it. None of the leads have much comedic experiences. They are all good actors. What little experience they have is to be the straight man (pun unintended) in a comedic film.It's not that I think the dialog was delivered improperly. It starts off with dropping the wedding ring in the punch bowl. I see they were trying for some slapstick there, but like the rest, it failed. In fact, it all failed. It seems they can't hit their mark even with the porn setup. I'm very doubtful if the director knows how to do comedy.
