Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

Definitely sub-par. First off, how is it that the rapist goes from being shown to looking over the model's pictures on his computer at home to just so happening to catch her out of her room, walking down the hall, at the right time, which is hardly a 30-second window? Then, he wouldn't be snapping pictures of her from across the room to wake her up because he doesn't have any immediate way to stop her from screaming, which she merely threatens to do in three seconds if he doesn't leave. Who does that?? That's really weird. Just scream, you idiot. From there, she tases him and is filled with opportunity to save herself. She could scream, beat him up, or grab a knife from the kitchen. Running out the door is a fine thing to do but she could also scream in the process. And it's pretty unrealistic how fast he recoups given how long he gets tased for.

Why are there several scenes in the whole I Spit on Your Grave movies which show penis and testicles but the genital of the woman is always hairy and not shown ? Seriously why ? Are there any differences ? And also the story of the movies are all repetitive with a same subject which a woman is offended , harassed and raped by bad men and afterwards , the heroine will revenge them all .

Me personally I liked the movie. I do not think it was as good as the first movie, but it was miles better than the third movie. I was going to try and give an honest review without spoilers, but I just don't think I can. Most of the abuse in the movie was very believable, good acting all the way around. The problem I had was how she escaped death. It's just not believable at all. Unlike the first movie. Every part of that movie had me glued to the TV trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This one though, while it kept you entertained. I just feel the torture scenes were just bleh. It seemed to me that they wanted to try and out do the first movie in the torture department, but it fell short. It fell way short. It was just too..... I don't really know how to put it into words. It was torture to torture. Unlike the first movie where it was still torture, but the bad guys were technically torturing themselves. Or I guess a better way to explain is that they were torture traps. This movie though it was just her torturing them to death. I'm sorry, while I really enjoyed the movie. I just think if fell a little short. But it's a sequel. You kind of expect it.

Being attacked, raped and then knocked unconscious and then waking up in a foreign country several days later, how truly terrifying! I can't say I like the Katy character she seemed like a bit of a stuck up girl possibly a New York stereotype and the bad guys were a bit of an Eastern European pervert stereotype. And I can't see a beautiful young woman walking into a makeshift studio full of guys she didn't know all alone. I don't see her friends approving of it either but maybe we are supposed to get the impression she is a bit naive and so are all her friends, even the neighbor who tries to rescue her and gets stabbed to death. It is definitely the torture porn category of horror with rape scenes and electro-torture.
