I Like You Audience Reviews

Develiker terrible... so disappointed.
Reptileenbu Did you people see the same film I saw?
ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Peereddi I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.
claeger This is the type of film that has potential to be good. If you do a plot line that has been beaten to a bloody pulp, you need to make it different. You need to make the film stand out. I wanted to like this film, but it falls short. The dialogue tries to be chill, raw, and delivered the way we talk, but in film, that doesn't work. The dialogue is flat and the acting is stiff. They float, the actors and characters need to be grounded. When a character speaks, it needs to mean something. When you make a film, you have to have good audio. This film did not. The audio was either mixed really low or they didn't get good production sound. A lot of the cuts in the film didn't make any sense. The music was more of the focus than the actual story. It might have been better if they adapted the story for several music videos instead of making a feature length movie. There were elements in the story that were introduced, but never explained, like the main character shooting rifles in the desert or why he was the protégé to his boss. There are no spoilers, because nothing extreme happens."I Like You" felt more like a student film than an indie feature. All in all, I understand what Jamie Heinrich was going for, but it just didn't work.
