ChikPapa Very disappointed :(
Redwarmin This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
ScoobyWell Great visuals, story delivers no surprises
shanna-irl I would have given this movie zero if I could. I stayed up until 3am last night watching this all the way to the end, just to see what actually was going on.More fool me, because I still couldn't tell you. What the heck was the point of the film??!!! Is she crazy, is she depressed, is she haunted? And what the heck were the final few scenes about, they didn't explain ANYTHING. I've seen some tripe in my time - I'll watch anything once, but this was just horrendous. They didn't explain anything at all - the whole way through the movie, the mother is convinced that the baby is evil - then ten minutes before it ends she's waving a knife round to protect the kid?! Then what, a big dark forest scene, a cut to the same dang exterior shot that seems to be used every 10 minutes, and we hear the mother telling the baby it's nap time AND THAT'S IT. Worst Movie EVER.
Claire Was OK for the most part but what was it with the ending? I was expecting another ten minutes to explain what happened. The end scene shows the house and a female voice saying: 'Come on Katie, time for your nap' - it's awful and I hate films with non-endings like this. It's all down to lazy writing, was it too much to come up with a reasonable conclusion? - obviously! It always amazes me how trash like this ever gets filmed, do the writers, for instance, know they have to write a beginning, a middle, AND an end????? A very poor effort I'm afraid.
rbrb This actually is an enjoyable type horror-thriller. The lead actress, Victoria Pratt, is charismatic and gives a convincing performance. As indeed do all the players in the film. In brief, mother loses her young daughter in a river 'accident' and believes rightly or not, that her new baby has been taken over by the spirit of her deceased daughter and intends harm to the said mother.Or is she just hallucinating? The movie is very atmospheric.Excellent musical score if one listens closely; and the set design and direction is compelling. A lot of the picture is set in a spooky old house. Add to that an apparent killer baby, then well who can resist this film?! So whilst I am not entirely satisfied with the climatic ending all in all it is my opinion the movie deserves 6 and half out of 10, rounded up thus:7/10.
Tom McGee I'm not gonna take to long to comment on this film. From 5 minutes in, my opinion was that the film was simply a typical poor thriller. The story line had been done before, the acting was not terrible but just seemed too easy, with the lead lady just sobbing and crying throughout.....giving me a headache! But the finishing blow came about 30 minutes into the film when you hear the supposedly dead little girl from the past say "you killed me mummy!" In a ridiculous voice. That along with the fact that the lead character seems to like talking to herself throughout, just to let the audience know the obvious like "why's the window open?". May not sound like a bad thing reading it here but after watching the same scene you will surely end up thinking to yourself "yeah? so just get on with it!"I just cant help but think how bored I was. It seems like most thrillers are just churned out of the same factory now. "Hush Little Baby" even seemed to have a silly background soundtrack that was so over the top that it should have been in a joke movie like "Just another thriller movie" or something! The point of this movie seemed to be to guess whether the mother was actually going nuts over the guilt from the death of her first daughter or that it was actually the evil baby who has the spirit of the dead daughter within, looking for revenge. Hmmmm. So the writers of "Hush Little Baby" watched a bunch of quality thrillers, took an idea from each (The Omen for instance, hell there's even a crow for goodness sake!), ticked the boxes and thought it would translate into a cash cow. They were probably right. I didn't pay to see it, but Im sure many did. As long as they don't expect any recognition for this waste of two hours!Maybe Im being too harsh? Maybe I was in a bad mood whilst watching this? I know for a fact though that I was in a good mood before the film.T.x
