Hunter Prey Audience Reviews

RipDelight This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Delight Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
pbsoko-56481 This movie has great character build up as well as a decent plot. The visual effects are not the type you would see in a prime cinema feature, but this does not in the least spoil the film. In fact, the effects are more 'realistic' and not over the top with Michael Bay style explosions. Where the movie doesn't deliver on special effects, it delivers on acting performance, storyline, and cinematography. Attention to detail is such that you don't notice 'issues' with the background, or errors in time-line; nor do you see things as quirky or unbelievable.I recommend this movie to any sci-fi buff, as well as those that enjoy a good drama/mystery type flick.
lorddeseiz Its not a sublime movie. It will never get much praise. Ten years later no one will remember it. Its just as silly as every other scifi movie out there with nothing new or groundbreaking to tell.One thing i did notice in this movie. For what little dialog there is in this movie is done behind masks/helmets. And one thing this movie does brake is the mask trap. Over exaggerated head movements while speaking. In fact this the only movie i know where actors don't bob there head around while speaking, they just deliver their lines like anyone would do with or without mask/helm. Even blockbusters, Mad Max, Star Wars, you name it, all of them guilty of the mask trap. Its the first thing i noticed about this movie and its still the first thing i remember of it. Only a detail, but a huge one for such a little movie and one of the reasons why i praise this movie. From all the scifi movies out there, you can go a lot worse.
smod-mail Straight away: The best one could do with a sci-fi alien based plot in a budget like that!Visually, it is a masterpiece, well shot and the CGI (whatever little there is and make up is so very very good! It is more of a single act play in many ways. I haven't much to say except we all have seen much much much worse movies made on very inflated budgets. This is the kind of work all movie makers need to be doing. Watch it in HD or superHD, its worth it.The plot is quite simple yet very well executed and the cinematography does so much justice to the whole premise, that you can hardly take your eyes away. Sci-Fi channels, this is definitely the kind of work you should be doing! What is budget in the face of talent? If any one is interested, this movie is currently on NETFLIX in superHD.
rightwingisevil if compares this low budget film to dennis quaid's 1985 great sci-fi film, 'enemy mine', then this film should be barely reach a 4-star rating. Several thoughts came up to my mlnd when i watched this film were: 1) omg, shooting movie in the hot desert with armors and helmets? are they serious? how could those actors survived in the deadly heat? 2)the aliens were just look-likes in enemy mine, but the make-ups were much too easy than what they did in the enemy mine 3) ah, now the cargo that the aliens lost and tried so hard to catch back was a human sample. wow, that was at least not a bad idea. but for a sci-fi movie, everything was just so primitive. guess they were designed before and older beyond 1985?
