Holidays by the Sea Audience Reviews

mraculeated The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Keira Brennan The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Mozjoukine This one tries to assemble Tati style gags around a camping site. They cross cut the activities of holidaying couples - star duo Gambling and Madeiros off chasing a runaway kite, a family drilled to mount a tent on the whistle, bearded guys making off with the wallet of the man, who has been left tied by a dominatrix. Best gag is the a couple in the tiny home, playing scrabble. Her tender word is converted into an aggressive one by him, leaving her to replace the blacked out rectangles in an erotica book with her own stick on insets. Fair scope filming. Attempts to eliminate dialogue are often pretty laboured - one sided 'phone calls etc. With this one short on good gags or endearing characters, the beach side atmosphere is the best element.
