At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

Blistering performances.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

King Castle (Kirby Grant) is a radio singer that makes women swoon, but he's been on the air for a while now and the sponsors are beginning to wonder if they might like to make a change. Meanwhile, a tour guide of the radio show (Eddie Quillan) has boasted to a former classmate about his job as a big executive, so she comes to get a job from him. Kelly Clark (Harriet Hilliard) is furious when she finds out she made the trip for no reason, but her old buddy makes good when he convinces King Castle to moonlight as a backup for her with their trio "Kelly and her Boyfriends" which performs late at night and secretly. They quickly become successful and everyone wants to know who Kelly's boyfriends are, but King can't reveal his identity without angering his sponsor.This is a cute, quick, and music-filled movie with nothing entirely memorable about it other than the fact that it goes down easy.
