Confined to a mental hospital, young Kirsty Cotton insists her supposedly dead father is stuck in hell, controlled by sadomasochistic demons after being betrayed by his evil, occult-obsessed wife, Julia. Few believe Kirsty, except the thrill-seeking Dr. Channard, who is intrigued by the young woman's lurid stories. So when Kirsty and fellow patient Tiffany head to hell for a rescue, Channard and Julia are close behind.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II Audience Reviews

Cathardincu Surprisingly incoherent and boring
ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Pluskylang Great Film overall
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Tweetienator I like Hellraiser II a little tiny bit more than the first movie of the series - every connoisseur of the demonic power in hell horror business should know the 1st and 2nd part of the Hellraiser multiverses - of course just my humble opinion. Sadly, the Hellraiser, or should I say, the Pinhead franchise was spoiled by the contribution of a lot of bad to very bad movies. Anyway, Hellraiser and Hellraiser II get a whole-hearted recommendation from my side - good old horror with a good shot of splatter, all untouched by modern CGI garbage, and last but not least we get an evil demonic and iconic maniac called Pinhead.
simonconnolly72-467-863881 The saying "less is more" couldn't be more fittingly applied than to this sequel. Whereas the first movie was a simpler told story, though still with it's problems, this one is an all out gorefest, full of badly connected scenes with no coherency of plot. As mentioned in the title, it's an overblown incoherent mess that throws everything it can at you and in turn negates any effect or atmosphere it could have created. It's amazing how many people will rate things a 10 out of 10. I know we all have different tastes, but it seems that logic, clear plot and characters takes a back seat to other lesser things which though not unimportant, are the added extras which should be the finishing touches to the film. There are many film makers out there, but very few skilled storytellers.
peterbaugh The first two Hell Raiser movies are my favorites. The music helps make the movie for me. Great music. Just a very cool movie. Scary enough for some I guess, I just like the acting and story line. Not gonna give any spoilers - just watch. A cousin told me about these movies a long time ago - I thought, whoa, is he messed up? But then I watched and paid attention... the more I watched, the more I liked these films. Give it a few tries and do not blink or you will miss part of the plot! Remember, it is "only" a movie... You will probably like the ending :-)
Eric Stevenson It's hard to even qualify this as a slasher film seeing as how it's a lot more than just one character who does the killing. In fact, Pinhead barely directly kills anyone at all. It's more like a standard horror movie. Anyway, I was expecting to see more of Pinhead in this movie, but he may have had even less screen time than the original film. As far as slasher movies go, this wasn't bad at all. It has a bit too much exposition in the first half, but at the second half, it really does get better. We get our most creative parts here as we see Hell.I admit to not being the biggest fan of stop motion. I just think it sticks out pretty badly. The designs were still pretty creative with this. I like how it follows up directly with the first movie. You rarely see that in films like this. I do kind of like the characters and they get some fairly good development. It's still pretty confusing and too complicated. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who wasn't a fan of horror movies, but I would to someone who is. ***
