Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

It wasn't great by any means of the imagination. It was one of those teenagery horror films that are a bit lazy but still entertaining. As a fan of fairytale's I'm always interested to see all interpretations of different stories. This one was mostly predictable, though I was interested in why she didn't just dump Gretel down with Hansel to begin with. The gore, particularly in one scene, had me turning my head from the screen, so I think that's a good thing? Maybe? I don't know. The acting was alright, Hansel (I don't know his name) was probably the weakest but not terrible. Same with the script.I watched it while I did other stuff and for that, it was fine because you didn't miss too much if you missed a second and didn't have to concentrate too hard.Don't expect anything amazing, but an entertaining mild horror twist on fairytale.I actually didn't think the ending was too bad. I thought it was going to be one of those *spoiler* oh yay everything is good woohoo. But it wasn't. (end scene)For a lazy Sunday or wanna kill some time - give it a go. If you're looking for something spectacular and riveting - don't.5.5/10

The director must have broken his head about how to make a 90 minute movie of a story that literally takes 5 minutes to tell in the original version. You know, he must have thought in the end, we fill up a few superfluous gruesome moments with long uninteresting scenes. In my opinion the director and complete casting and supporting crew should have been put into the freaking oven. This is the first movie I ever gave a vote of 1. Congratulations. Very ... very ... BAD. What else is bad is that I have to type 10 freaking lines to get in a review that could easily have been just the line 'very very bad'. But hey Ill keep typing if you guys keep reading. Ah, I'm done.

This movie is a waste of time, unless you have time to waste. The plot of the movie seemed good but once those D- list actors started talking, it all went down from there. The movie needed a bigger budget and better actors. We watched this on TV thinking it was the "other" Hansel & Gretel but nope we were fooled! I wonder why Netflix even has this poor movie for people to see. I'm not sure what else I can say about this movie. Maybe if your looking for some laughs and some funny memories with friends then watch it. Half the time we were laughing at the actors and how stupid they were. If you have the decency to even watch it till the end like we did you can see the stupidity of the writer. Just validated what a joke this film was!!

Half way through this movie some of the characters and the overall storyline were enjoyable enough to overlook the lack of special effects, obvious B production value, and occasional horrid line and had me really wanting to like this movie. Then it all went to hell. It seems at a certain point the writer smoked PCP and lost all direction and , avoiding spoilers, the ending couldn't of been any more of a let down then that.. That being said Dee Wallace, Stephanie Greco, Brent Lydic all displayed some real talent. Dee played the crazed villain to the letter, and I hope to see more from the up and comers Stephanie and Brent in the near future (Hopefully sporting much better dialogue).
