This comment is not about rating the movie. I think there is a huge problem with the parent's guide concerning the "sex and nudity" part. This is absolutely not appropriate for young people. So people must know before seeing this film that barely after starting the movie, we can hear a lot of sex references (teen talk), we see a naked giant doll with teen pretending to do sex with it, and a guy watching pornographic videos on his computer.

Grave Encounters 2 in a nutshell:45 mins of stupid students, played by very bad actors, partying and talking about whether GE1 is fake or not. Their conclusion: It's real.Logical consequence of that conclusion: Let's enter that asylum where people get killed by supernatural forces at night and prove GE1 is real!Then next part of the movie is basically the same as GE1, only with bad actors and "jump scares" that don't work at all. And I'm a person that's very likely to jump at every jump scare.I thought it was cool that Lance Preston appeared, but all that "only one person can get out and has to get all of the tapes to get out through that magical door" crap seemed very forced and didn't make much sense.I'm giving it 3 points because I thought the SFX were good (way better than in the first film) and the location is actually creepy.

So I saw the first Grave Encounters, and loved it! Thought the second one would be great...Boy, I was wrong. Don't waste your time with the second one. The beginning was unrelated to the story, and a waste of like thirty minutes. The acting was terrible, they should of just got a few teenagers to do it, they probably could act better. There wasn't any scares. However I would love to visit the hospital building! I wouldn't bother watching this one. Greetings from Lithuania."Grave Encounters" 2 (2012) is a follow up to great horror flick "Grave Encounters". I loved the first part, so i really wanted to check this sequel. Unfortunately, this is not as good as the first part, but i kinda liked it and mainly because i loved first movie. Grave Encounters 2 is definitely for those who loved first picture, if didn't - don't even bother with the sequel. It has some crazy and fantasy style ending, not much of horror, more of nonsense to be honest. Acting was just OK, but nothing memorable.Overall, if you really liked first part, you can try and check this one, you can even like it, but i think it's a sequel for die hard fans of first movie.
