G.P.S. Audience Reviews

Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
ThedevilChoose When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
movieman_kev Andrew and Bob are two GPS hunters who have recently accepted a hunt from the enigmatic fugitive Shephed Loman who's allegedly in possession of two million dollars and before you know it they're deep in the woods (with some friends in tow) in the game. But when the first clue they find is a series of Polaroids of a bound & gagged woman with the words 'don't let me die' as well as coordinates to the next clue, they get an inkling that this 'hunt' will be a bit different. The film starts off well enough. The acting while far from stellar, was perfectly adequate. I found myself interested in the storyline and the film kept my attention. But an ending that comes out of left field and is in one word: Idiotic, coupled with a really stupid coda sadly soured the entire movie for me. Eye Candy: An extremely fleeting and obscured glimpse of Lauren Nuebling topless & some side boob action from Nicola Anderson Eye Candy for the ladies: Paul Proios bares his ass My Grade: D+DVD Extras: Commentary by Director/writer Eric Colley & Producer/writer/actress Hallie Shephard; a 30 minute Making-of; 30 minute 'characters of' featurette; stunts featurette (19 minutes); a short 3 minute Anatomy of a scene; post-production (18 & a half min); Bob's 8 and a half min homemade documentary; a making-of "mistaken" (Colley's previous short film) featurette; a segment on the GPS internet game & a code for said game (speaking of there's another code at the tail-end of the film's credits)
rskeesey OK, so this is my first movie review on IMDb. But I felt inclined to go through the time and effort of starting an account to write this review. If for nothing else than simply to warn you of the mistake that I made over the last 98 minutes in the hopes that you will learn from my experience. You see, I actually like to look for the silver lining on everything in life. There was no silver lining here. Or perhaps, on second thought, maybe there was... This was indeed a very suspenseful film. However, this suspense was not created by the acting, which was no doubt some of the worst I've ever seen. Nor was the suspense on account of the story. Weak, predictable, and absolutely terrible. Was it the writing???... Well let's just say the dialogue in the film reminded me of something that would have come from the worst of writers in a high school creative writing course who didn't want to be there, but was simply going through the motions to fill a couple credits.So, back on track here... The only reason I didn't turn this movie off halfway through? I was in total suspense, edge of my seat suspense really! I could not wait! I was dying to see how bad a movie could actually get, and I was not left disappointed. This movies creators did one of the finest jobs ever of creating one of the worst written, worst acted, and poorly executed movies and endings ever!! Job well done on a ridiculous waste of time and money!!!
lkazen I was happily surprised with this film. I went into the theater expecting lower grade cinematography, choppier scene sequences, and amateur acting but all those expectations were quickly crushed. The movie opened with an attention getting chase scene and kept me interested with twists and turns and a splash of comedy. What seemed to be an innocent enough GPS treasure hunt film turned into an intriguing who done it and… I couldn't figure it out! In one scene I was laughing and in the next I was chomping on my M&Ms waiting for the next big thrill.The music choices were good and the action scenes were even better. The editing was unreal… seamless… at one point the film shows silhouettes of the actors against the forest background reflecting back on events… this was my favorite part and showed how well made this low budget film was. Hats off to the writers and director - I recommend this film 100% and will definitely see it again.
cgariando I don't know a lot about "GPS hunts" or "Geocaching" or whatever it is called, but you don't need any experience with activity as the filmmakers introduce you to it in the opening scenes of the film. The story and dialog were top notch. The excitement builds throughout the movie to the conclusion that catches you off guard.I Was impressed with the quality of the production. It has a great story that reminded me of "The Contract" with John Cusack and Morgan Freeman with a some of the Blair Witch's frenetic quality thrown it. Scenes in the dark woods make you feel the suspense and fear the characters are experiencing. There are moments of levity that fit the characters and situations and brought real laughs from the audience.
