Charlotte (Mittel) moves into a secluded hillside home with her boyfriend Howard (Gunn), and soon discovers she is pregnant. But her happiness is clouded by several strange occurrences - ghostly footsteps, disembodied voices, and the appearance of an eerie, faceless woman. The encounters become more frequent and disturbing, and Charlotte is shocked to discover she is suffering from a Dissociative Fugue which has caused her to forget everything from the last nine months. As she sets out to uncover what caused her memory loss, the events of the past blend into the present - threatening not only her life, but that of her unborn baby.

Fugue Audience Reviews

Connianatu How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Edison Witt The first must-see film of the year.
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Leofwine_draca FUGUE is another slow and dull indie haunted house movie. It involves the usual maladjusted young woman moving into a haunted home where she discovers some unpleasantness going on. Are ghosts responsible? You'll neither know nor care in the hands of a director who doesn't know how to craft an interesting tale. The emphasis is on atmosphere building but it's all very mannered and predictable.
RMS1949 While I enjoyed some of the film, overall it felt disjointed. Abigail Culwell did an excellent job portraying a vulnerable yet determined heroine. Director Barbara Stepansky also did an excellent job as the film had an eerie feel to it as if anything could happen at any moment. Problem was in most cases it never did.Spoiler alert:there is one great scene ( as shown in trailer ) , where a heavily pregnant Abigail is being pursued up an incline by her assailant, I was hoping this confrontation was the climax of the film, instead it's not, instead it's a flashback just being remembered, it was over with far too quickly, and when the real climax comes for the now not heavily pregnant heroine, it felt totally so out of place with how rest of the film came across..So my biggest complaint was the storyline itself, was too slow in most areas, missed opportunity in others, and en ending that was way out of place...
