I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

Im not sure what i just watched.. but it helps if you drink whisky straight from the bottle...jokes aside this is 1½ hr of glorious madness, if you like the old school horor/scifi movies, anything from Hellraiser to Evil dead or Toxic Avenger, you will like this.I have read good and bad reviews and it seems this movie brings out really strong opinions, i dont get why. Its a quite silly scifi comedy, but either you like that stuff or you dont, cant really say i understand why people get so emotional when it comes to this specific movie. Normally those who dont like it seem to just ignore it..Huh.. anyway if you are into this kinda stuff, whatch it and enjoy 1½hr of really, REALLY, stupid fun.

whoa. vile and creepy. but awesomely funny nonsense. and boy did this have fantastic make up and gore effects. but most of all i couldn't stop laughing and i couldn't take my eyes off of it's vile maliciousness. it was fascinating and strangely absorbing.i don't even want to describe the plot. i don't want to to remind myself of it and blow my brains up. but that doesn't mean it was a bad movie, just a really freaky one. a lot of this was even a little scary. if not frightening. but it carries on with such gleeful and humorous insanity, that it ends up being more funny than disturbing.although i suppose good caution should make a viewer wary of all this. there was a lot of spite and malice here and a almost fatalistic pessimism. but it's so darned funny you're almost unaware of it.i hadn't seen this movie in a very long time. not since it first came out. i remember liking it but it didn't make much of a impression on me and i remembered almost nothing about it. having seen it again recently for the first time since it's release (or shall we say escape?) on to video, i'm surprised i didn't remember this wicked lunacy better. i mean this is grotesque stuff but man is it vivid and memorable.i'd have to say this was a very well made movie even if it was freaky and creepy. it's comedy was effective and the make up and robotics were out of this world. as to what is this movie's purpose or pointed message? i have no idea but it must be a doozy. i just don't want to think about it.

The not-so-excellent adventures of toxic chemical company spokesman Alex Winter (as Ricky Coogan) and his pal Michael Stoyanov (as Ernie) are told, in flashbacks, to talk-show host Brooke Shields (as Skye Daley). The beauty appears briefly. Joined by pretty protester Megan Ward (as Julie), the trio are turned into mutant freaks by hairy, hammy Randy Quaid (as Elijah C. Skuggs), in South America (allegedly). Then appears an army of beasts. "Freaked" absolutely shows make-up and special effects can be superior to lame comedy, which certainly wasn't the point being made here. Keanu Reeves sports a great tail. Beauty is only skin deep, but humor goes right to the funny bone.*** Freaked (9/11/93) Tom Stern, Alex Winter ~ Alex Winter, Randy Quaid, Michael Stoyanov, Megan Ward

Freaked. What can I say. This movie is so funny in it's unconventional weird humor that most people probably won't get it. i don't like dumb humor. Adam Sandler movies suck. Same with dumb teen sex comedies. This movie does have stupid humor in it, but at the same time some of it is just downright genius. I've been watching this movie since I was 12 years old (now 23) and just thinking of some of the stuff in this movie will make me laugh out load. This movie seriously lead the way for Adult Swim shows, and if you like AS you'll love this movie. It is so off the wall. The milkmen thing is so funny. and of course "Styrofoam cup" is classic. Please find this movie. Or don't. I really don't care either way. Because the people who love it will share a bond that most of the world will never know
