Frame 313: The JFK Assassination Theories Audience Reviews

AboveDeepBuggy Some things I liked some I did not.
StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Derry Herrera Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
gavin6942 I have to say this was a pretty good documentary. No one view was given more credence than any other, and the facts were presented in a nice, compact way that anyone not familiar with the assassination can digest and appreciate.Of the theories, I am most familiar with the official version (which I happen to accept) and the Mafia version. I can say the Mafia version was presented fairly well, and had the necessary footage of James Files. I know Files, I have exchanged several letters with him. He is an interesting guy, very intelligent, but probably not the killer of JFK. His reliance on Charles Nicoletti and John Roselli make his story questionable, because the FBI was closely watching those two Chicago mobsters and would have known their plans if they had any.Although I generally think the dissenting views are silly, they were presented fairly here, and they do raise a good point. Many, many documents are sealed until 2017. I would love to see those documents. While I am not clear they would actually add any new facts to the JFK murder, they would be an important piece of history just the same.
Richie-67-485852 Why would we doubt what we know to be right in our hearts. Something happened that explanations are not addressing. People watching this movie are having trouble finding a closure on the subject matter. Why? Because all the facts are not presented because they are not available. It is like assembling Dinosaur bones that are found. They do their best to construct the flesh, shape and even the heads, but they still do not know what they looked like. So it is with this movie and its subject. There are things missing that when we see the entire picture, we will know and be satisfied. One haunting thing keeps coming up over and over and not just in this film. Data is being held back for National Security reasons. That tells us that what is available is missing vital data and all conclusions made from existing research is lacking to say the least. Who is it that has the power to hold back information from over 300 million people? Why would they? Perhaps the truth is too close to home. If the government was involved in the killing, we would have a potential civil war. If the Mafia was involved, then we have chaos. Think about this. No one would want to pay taxes if either one is true. That is the end of the system that runs our country. Delaying the answer to 2029 makes no sense unless they want every one dead twice removed by then...Why? There still must be a threat of some sort...This behavior is not acceptable. Courts don't like it, Grand juries don't like it and people don't like having facts withheld for any reason..enjoy this
danthecardude I have to admit that for most of my life as an adult, I dismissed the conspiracy theories regarding Kennedy's assassination. This documentary is the first one I have seen that really lays out all of the possibilities and backs it up with discussion and interviews with folks who were there, on the scene when everything went down.Of course, the possibility exists (as in any conspiracy) that some of these interviews are faked - grin.Even if it doesn't prove or disprove any particular theory, it sure shows the viewer that The Kennedys made a lot of enemies in the land of Camelot.
Michael_Elliott Frame 313: The JFK Assassination Theories (2008) *** (out of 4) This documentary gathers up various history experts as they debate five different conspiracy theories about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The five topics include: the single gunman theory, the CIA/Mafia connection, the Soviet Union/KBG, hired Mafia hit men and finally Cuban exiles. If you're dead set that there wasn't a conspiracy then it's probably pointless watching this as what's presented here isn't going to change your mind and you're probably just going to grow extremely angry watching these people talk. I personally don't know who killed Kennedy so I enjoy watching documentaries from the viewpoint of saying there aren't any conspiracies as well as documentaries like this one that says the truth is not out there. Although at 114-minutes this does get a bit long winded at times, I still enjoyed it for the most part. I thought the theories that were given here all made you at least think and there were some pretty striking connections that came up and especially in regards to some of the Mafia ones. Again, I'm not going to sit here and say that this film proves anything but I think as entertainment it works. History buffs will probably at least be entertained by the different theories if they're not easily offended by alternate thoughts on the subject.
