SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

Disturbing yet enthralling

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Watched the film thanks to the enthusiastic reviews left on Amazon. However, I can not recommend it. I have no beef with the visuals and the budget, it was more than expected and more than sufficient.
It is the actors and the script. The acting varies greatly, both with actors and scenes. None of the developments feel natural or logical. The (spoiler alert!) heat developing in the outside world caused by an obvious prank is neither explained nor shown enough; it just doesn't make sense. The parallel Alien story is not satisfying either, even though I found both creature and orbs convincingly done for a movie of this budget. Also liked how the used darkness to cover the cgi-helicopters.The main issue: a movie like this can't and should't compete with big budget actors or cgi, but should outweigh them by providing clever and (being without pressure to be a universally accepted movie) less agreeable humor. And this one doesn't. The humor is largely bland and superficial.

I liked this movie a lot but took a couple of stars off because the actors look completely out of place in the wilderness. The girl who plays Amy actually does a pretty good job with a fly rod but it's pretty clear the rest of them have never caught a fish in their lives. Serious points for a fun and beautiful movie though. I want the director to publish the location of the streams and rivers so I can go check them out. I completely cracked up that the creature they stumble on looks like an otter and not a Bigfoot. She is so cute, my kids love her and made me go back and forth over the few shots she is in about 10 times. The other thing that was so neat was how well they captured small town culture. If you haven't lived in a small town you have no idea how old it gets with everyone knowing what is going on in your life all the time. But even so, you still have this unspoken bond when it comes to outsiders. We actually had a call chain every time some sort of fed would enter the last town I live in. The FBI agents in this movie were so similar to the COs from the Twin Cities we see poking around I completely cracked up. Fun movie, I recommend it.

Face it, we all wanted to watch this movie because of the title and the poster, right? So maybe no one gets totally naked but ladies, you do get to see Bronson pretty darn close several times. But forget Bronson for a few minutes, I am totally in love with this guy Evan. I can't find much about him but he is smoking hot! My roommate told me he was in this new RIDE movie, I tried to watch it, Helen Hunt drives me nuts but I didn't see him in the first 10 minutes. I do recommend a couple of glasses of wine and a good sense of humor going into it. The humor is a bit dry but still made me lol several times. Super pretty too. Makes me want to go to the mountains!

I was hoping to watch a funny movie. But it isn't a good comedy, more a tragedy. There are some porn movies with a better script. At least there's nudity in those movies. While watching this train wreck, I was curious how bad the reviews would be. To my surprise I saw it was rated very high by a few. Not sure what is up with that.Script 1 out of 10; Acting: 1 our of 10; Laughs: 1 out of 10; Eye Candy: 2 out of 10.To bad, I want to enjoy low budget films for what they are, but there is no payoff.
