Felon Audience Reviews

IncaWelCar In truth, any opportunity to see the film on the big screen is welcome.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Fallen Eye A decently constructed feature, that did well in pulling the viewer in and getting them emotionally involved. I personally am glad that Felon has a happy ending, because the director could've easily went the other way, which in my opinion could've proved to be a bit more profound, however for the viewer, perhaps a whole lot more frustrating... In a good way as far as the film is concerned.A movie about the injustice of a system that very often seems like it wasn't put in place to serve or protect, but rather accomplish any agenda set by its architects, is sure to tug at the right emotional strings, and Felon did just that. The story is grounded, possible and very realistic, which makes it vastly relatable, because it could really happen to anyone at anytime. All you have to do with Felon, is imagine yourself in said position, and just like that, you're a part of it.Injustice, unfairness and mistreatment as a basis of a story is all good and well to conjure up, however, you need a director with the right vision, and actors that can embody that vision to give it the relevance, purpose and meaning that is necessary for the feeling to hit home. Felon displayed a fair attempt at showcasing such unfairness. 7.2/10.
Bryan Tull This was filmed by someone with parkinson's and a hand-held camera. I think the premise is great but I lasted all of 10 minutes. It's unbelievable how much the camera shakes! You can imagine but you can't truly grasp it unless you watch this trainwreck. Fortunately, at least one other reviewer feels the same as me.
LeonLouisRicci With its Heart in the right place but its head and body somewhere else, this is a well Acted Prison Movie that is arguably a Realistic look at the "Life" inside. Unless you have been there and done that, who knows? But this seems rushed, underwritten and enjoys much too much its many "Yard" Scenes that are repetitive and boring. These Shaky Camera Shots are many and tend to upstage the more thoughtful and provocative parts. Not a bad Film and the always reliable Stephen Dorff does what He does, but Val Kilmer is the Acting Surprise here as a barely recognizable Sociopathic Mass Murderer with tender leanings and a passion for Philosophy.Realistic or not about Prison and its Microcosm and the Legal System, the Movies High Road gets lost among the Tattoos and Shaky, Showy, fight Scenes. Recommended for Fans of Prison Movies, Cage Matches, Body Art, and good Acting. Those seeking some insight or answers about the Film's Message may find it Heavy Handed, or at least a Puzzling and Twisted Bent about Family Values.
adi_2002 Wade has everything a man could want. A business, a beautiful girlfriend, a son and a house. But everything changes when one night a trespasser enters his house to steal. He tries to defend the property and chases him with a baseball bat outside in the yard where he manages to stop him but unfortunately for him it doesn't survive. Laura is forced to call the police and they condemn Wade to prison. The movie has its good parts and bad. One of the good ones would be like seeing the reality behind the prison the cruel punishment and how it lives there. The bad parts:1. The Lawyer. How Wade got a lawyer from the office and had no one to represent him personally? If you know that you don't have an attorney you don't hit in the head that thief who came over you in the house, you remain inside.2.The amount of money for him to go out on bail. It looked overly large even with two zeros greater than it should be. But as I'm not familiar with the amounts that are required in the U.S.A. for a prisoner to be released, then it is possible to be wrong at this point. 3.I understand that Stephen Dorff is the kind of bad guy after I saw him in Blade and the roles of bad-boy fits good but in this movie after making a few push ups on the edge of the bed was able to beat several prisoners there and may overcome?4. The character played by Val Kilmer after arrive in the same cell with Wade not to see him as more than just sit on the toilet then goes out in so called "backyard" and he supports with the hands against the wall and do a few push ups but none of the inmates doesn't dare to touch him.5. The head of the prison, so is this the way you deal with folks over there? Cast on as dogs so they can be fighting then to shoot them with a gun to stop them and you call the buzzer? What kind of example should give other employees there?Even with some minuses is a good movie but not for anyone.
