Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.

It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

Evergreen follows those closely involved and affected by the legalization of marijuana in the state of Washington. Well put together with no sign of bias or overly opinionated nor preachy. As a quiet advocate for marijuana legalization for recreational/medicinal use I watched with gleeful eyes as I got to see the faces of those who in my eyes have won a battle. Attorneys, law enforcement both active and retired, activists, and community leaders all came together to fight for legalization. The mood quickly changes when you finally hear the voices and see the faces of those that oppose. Their beliefs of what will happen if legalization takes place surprisingly will jar any supporter's beliefs. Evergreen does really well with gathering as much information and theories from both sides that by the end you will start figuring out how you would do things if you were the one in power.
