Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Audience Reviews

Sanjeev Waters A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
ellisrquinn This film is so intelligent on so many levels. The way the story is told and how it is presented is perfect. The story perfectly breaks down the concept of love by using a non-naturalistic Sci-Fi concept. It's very unique. The type of love presented has been seen hundreds of times before but never like this. The way it shows how they only chose to forget eachother (because of the bad things) is because they had the chance to forget eachother. They realised that they wanted to remember the good things, not forget it all because of the bad things. The directing and visuals in this film are amazing; with a naturalistic style in the real world and a Non-naturalistic style when it is inside the character's mind. The only slight complaint I have is that it takes a little time to reach the main story; but this is understandable, as it takes a while to set up a concept like this.Overall this film is great. The more I think About it, the more I love it.
Leofwine_draca Not a film I cared for at all. I hated the supposed quirkiness of Jim Carrey's character, while Kate Winslet remains as irritating as she always has been since TITANIC soured me to her. The film's basic exploration of existentialist themes feels pretentious in the extreme, and various supporting actors are wasted.
MJB784 The movie takes place the weekend of Valentine's Day and is about a man who's getting the memories of his girlfriend erased through an operation, but is having second thoughts in the middle of the erasing, but he can't wake up. A movie where anything is possible.
leethomas-11621 I loved the imagery, the music and the warmth of Jim Carrey's performance. And great to see an (early?) Mark Ruffalo. But I just wonder what the concept of the movie is. Does the title come from Alexander Pope? (viewed 1/17)
