george walter I don't know why I decided to watch this movie, despite the generally bad reviews I've read online. Maybe I like Hemsworth, The Rock or maybe I was bored, but that movie sucked.Nothing ever happens. It starts OK, but it never goes anywhere. Throughout the whole film you expect some action, something that will entertain you. But down to the last min the whole piece falls FLAT.Not only it is very slow after the first phase, it never develops. What bothered me is the acting isn't even bad. It was unfortunately a waste of a good cast.Please, save yourself some time and money. Pass

Claudio Carvalho In the 80's, in New York, Chris Potamitis (Liam Hemsworth) had dreamed on joining the police academy but his best friend Eddie (Michael Angarano) destroyed his dreams being caught by the police with marijuana together with him. Chris is hired by the Empire State Company to work as security guard in an armored truck with the driver Tony (Michael Rispoli). When Tony is murdered in a heist and the Empire States does not pay the insurance to the widow, Chris decides to steal money from the depository to give to her. Chris comments with Eddie, who is a lowlife and bigmouth person, the fails in the security system of the Empire State and Eddie plots a scheme with another smalltime criminal to steal the money from the depositary. The FBI agents do not believe that two morons like Eddie and Chris could have planned the heist but the experienced Detective Ransome (Dwayne Johnson) follows his instincts to solve the case."Empire State" is movie apparently based on a true story with one of the most unpleasant and irritating characters of the cinema history, the loser Eddie. Consequently the performance of Michael Angarano is top- notch. On the other size, Chris Potamitis is shown as a naive and quite innocent victim of the heist but it is hard to believe in this character. Therefore, despite the good performances, the screenplay is badly written and waste the good cast. My vote is five.Title (Brazil): Not Available

Raef Mousheimish I saw stars like Dwayne Johnson and Emma Roberts on the cover, so i thought that it will be a great thriller film, but i felt disappointing at the end. The Start was perfect, and it just encourages me to continue, and it makes me on fire waiting the hot actions to happen. But like i said, it didn't rise to my expectation. Liam Hemsworth, was not convincing, i like his brother more:P. And the surprise was in the role played by Dwayne Johnson, his role was so simple and small, and i felt like Dwayne himself was not convinced by his role. There is nothing to say about Emma Roberts, because i didn't see her in the film:P. The true story of the heist is attractive but the director didn't know how to play his cards well, and so the events in the film, was boring, predictable, and there is nothing special to note. So as i mentioned, the film begins solid, and attractive, but this is not gonna last, and the beauty of the beginning starts to melt, to reach a very simple and uninspired ending.
