A Disappointing Continuation

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
The Grand Master
Eddie Murphy shot to fame with Saturday Night Live and cemented his status as one of the funniest comedic actors in the 80's with movies such as 48 Hrs. (1982), Trading Places (1983), Beverly Hills Cop (1984), and Coming to America (1988). The 90's however were a mixed bag for Eddie Murphy with numerous flops affecting his star power as well as deciding to head down the family friendly path which is a total shame. What can I say about Delirious? To sum it up, it is damn hilarious. I was in stitches throughout this entire time. You have to see it yourself, especially if you are an Eddie Murphy fan. There are far too many hilarious moments in Delirious which I just cannot describe. Nobody is spared and Eddie Murphy did not pull any punches throughout the entire show. It goes without saying that Delirious is well known for its use of strong language and strong sexual references, as well as Eddie Murphy using a total of 230 f-words.I miss the Eddie Murphy of old which was a million miles funnier back in the day. This is Eddie Murphy which audiences knew and loved in his prime. Foul mouthed, politically incorrect, intelligent, witty comedy at its very best.Highly recommended for all Eddie Murphy fans and anyone who loves foul mouthed, politically incorrect humour.Certainly not recommended for anyone that is easily offended.9/10.

I think this still is the best routine. There are some others, like Rock's "bring the pain", and Allen's "Men are Pigs" that are hilarious; "Damon Waynes last stand" is also funny in a tearful way - but this routine has no errors. All the jokes are funny, and the time limit of 70 minutes is perfect. Just long enough to last 20 years. I just love how he allows the audience to be totally themselves and unrestricted. I'm a fan of the classics and for a guy who watched a lot of of Jim Carrey growing up, watching a more laid back comic is pretty cool. Not putting in a category with Ellen and Newhart, but something you can watch if you're bloated. Thanks Eddie, god bless.

This is the best stand up act I have ever seen committed to film. I had the VHS tape of this and have only recently got the perfect DVD of it. This guy is truly gifted, even at the age of 22 he was a master of impersonations! His renditions of Mr T, Elvis Presley and even Michael Jackson amongst many others are all side splittingly funny and accurate. The research he must have done, and even rehearsing to get this act so so perfect must have been tremendous. Have seen the majority of and even the best of Eddie Murphy's films, but none come even close to this for just genuine hilarity. Comedy fans will love this from second one to the end

The first time I came upon Delirious, I only heard it. I listened to the entire comedic performance and never have I laughed so much in my life. Eddie's ability to paint hilarious pictures in our minds and do great imitation is captivating. When I finally got to see him perform this act, I had to have it. Eddie Murphy's performance on Delirious shows his genius! With it being the new millennium, his acts in 1983 is just as funny today as it was then. My parents loved it as teenagers and I (age eighteen) love it as well. From that point on, I had to view Murphy's other movies such as Coming To America and Harlem Nights. There will be no other comedian like Eddie.
