I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

Blistering performances.

This film did not receive good reviews but I for one liked it very much. It was not what the trailer described but still a decent watch with good acting from the cast, I think it was advertised wrong or they had a few different ideas on the ending or so it seemed like that but for me it was another well rounded thriller, suspense with a few twists.

I thought this was a really good movie, but I didn't really have any expectations going in, of it being a horror movie, so maybe that's the difference. This is a murder mystery and psychological thriller, and if you watch it as such, it's really quite good. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but that's my take on it.

I was expecting a classic paranormal movie with ghosts, spirits, entities, etc., but was surprised with the actual story line. It's a good movie, creative like "The Sixth Sense" was creative & different. When you make it about half way through the movie is when it starts to mess with your head as you try to figure out where the story is heading, but it keeps you guessing. The ending could of been a bit different, perhaps a bit more definitive towards answering the questions you still have, but the way it does end works well enough.

I noticed this in Netflix and immediately wondered why I hadn't heard of it before. I mean look at the cast and the director is a six time Oscar nominee, it's got to be good. And it was to a point, but after watching the movie I now understand why I hadn't heard of it.The setup and idea is great, but having also read that the movie was later edited without the director makes it quite clear that the production was a bit of a mess. Had the director had his way, this would probably have been a lot better. It's probably for the most part editing that makes this a dud, because the acting and atmosphere work quite well.Still this movie isn't completely ruined, but rather enjoyable. Only the ending is a bit so-so as the build up is not nearly as good as it should be. I wasn't also that sure about the whole outcome, but I was also getting a bit tired towards the end, so I may have missed a clue or two. But to me it seemed as if they kind of forgot the sub plot and concentrated too much on Daniel Craig and building up that part of the script.I don't know if I will ever watch this again, but this is one of those movies that _should_ make you want to watch it again after the movie ends, to catch all those clues.
