Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
jimmy_cannon Really liked this, good acting for what I was expecting - the two main characters especially. I wasn't a huge fan of how it depicted LGBT community but that is more of a cultural thing I think rather than that of the movie however I was a little disappointed by it. Overall I found The film was great at keeping my attention and had a good balance of humour, romance and severity. However, it fell down a little with the ending but wasn't a deal breaker. Two VERY attractive leads who can act and a common story line done really well with a few twists and changes from the basic boring overdone story usually depicted. Overall - Lighthearted romance - easy watching - Great characters and acting - awkward ending.
kosmasp If you get pregnant, you may be angry at the baby in your belly or the guy who put it there. The English title may be a bit vague and that is not a bad thing. It's one of the weirdest Rom-Coms you probably will watch. And made the main actress a bit of an attraction for America too. Right now she's doing shows and what not. It didn't happen overnight, but movies like this surely helped. She may seem annoying (especially to male audiences), but her character is flawed for a reason. And still feels as real as possible. As human as possible if you want to call it that. It's not hard to guess what the inciting incident is, but the movie still has some surprises along the way. The acting is solid and the script works too. It may have some bumps along the road to the end, but overall it's a good movie
ksf-2 So Maru ( Karla Souza) hooks up with "some guy" at a wedding.... she can't remember which one it was, and now... she's PREGNANT! She thinks it may be "Renato" (Ricardo Abarca), or at least that's what her friends tell her, but she's not sure. And the new "dad" spends the next hour trying to convince her that he'll be there to take care of the baby. But... Maru doesn't want anything to do with "dad". So.. the big question is.. .why did she go to such trouble to find the "dad" if she doesn't want anything to do with him ?? kind of a plot hole in the script. About half way through, Maru has Renato over to dinner with the parentals. Her father is a big shot in politics, but it does NOT go well. Ups, Downs. The baby comes, and Renato is the doting father that he himself never had. Cute. Some issues, some surprises, but still a cute, corny film. Showing on netflix USA. Written and directed by Gustavo Loza.
mail-419-231113 During stressful periods in my life I usually watch documentaries, comedies or romantic comedies (even though I am a man :P). I've seen plenty already and decided to watch this one to relax a bit after yet another stressful day. First of all, I love the cast. Especially Maru, she is beautiful. She doesn't look fake or whatever and made me smile in every scene. The story is simple and yet still somehow original. It was quite funny as well and not so much 'American' (no insult ;)) The end is awkward but lovely and last but not least: I love the language even though I don't understand a single word of it :)Good watch, would recommend and Karla Souza looks gorgeous :)
