Deadly Weekend Audience Reviews

ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Jerrie It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Paul Magne Haakonsen Sometimes you just got to stop and actually pay heed to the reviews that you stumble upon here and there, and also to the low rating that a movie scores. But as taste and preference is a matter of personal opinion, you just got to take a chance every now and again."Deadly Weekend" was not worth the chance at all. This is really an unfathomably slow and dimwitted movie that requires absolutely nothing from the audience. Just unhook all mental capacity, then you are ready for this movie.Oh, and you might want to brace yourself for about an hour and a half of absolutely nothing worthwhile. The storyline was forced and wooden, leaving no room for any surprises, twists or even unforeseen turn of events. The acting in the movie, well, I have seen worse, but there is a mighty gap from what was portrayed in this movie up to something that was passable as mediocre. As for the effects, well, then they worked out well enough, and those were basically everything that had any leverage in this movie. And there was a fair amount of blood and mayhem in the movie to peak some gorehound's interest. But it was hardly sufficient to carry the rest of the movie. It was as if this movie was a remnant from a mid 1980's horror movie, where they piled together unused footage and ideas. For a thriller / horror movie, then "Deadly Weekend" was a rather boring and uneventful addition to the history of cinema.
morrigan1982 Soooo a group of friends meet up for a last vacation all together. Little did they know that it would actually be their last chance to be all together! Boo ha ha … No is not a great movie, it is not even fun, it is boring and predictable. Friends go to the woods, they have fun, they are half dressed, they fight for something and the killing starts! OK there is a small twist if you can call it a twist but the movie is so flat that it really doesn't make a difference. So pretty much it's the same story over and over and over and over and over and
Jesse Boland I just can't give this movie the great review that you want just because Sara Jean Underwood is in it, and mostly writhing around barely dressed. Yeah that is there, and that is why most people are going to watch this. I will tell you that the sound in this movie is excellent, and when they finally get to the meat of this movie it is partly worth watching. There are some sick individuals portrayed here, and I might add at times played very well. These two young faces will be making an impression on you, even if you are forced to look away. Not badly directed, or written really, but this movie was really only made for one reason. While this is not an instant classic, or something that you can expect to reach cult status, this does have some unique qualities, and is not as bad as it starts out. Once you get past the jealous bro' fest and the killing starts then, and only then is this passable. Otherwise it is completely predictable. I did Enjoy being surprised at that 48 ish minute mark as the lead up is very good once you see what it was leading up to. So I do actually recommend this movie, but only to the murder porn, or super S.J.U. fan. If you find yourself not in one of those two categories, then you can find a thousand other movies to watch.
Flow I gave this one a 3, mostly because I've seen too many like it already. It didn't bring anything new, exciting, different, better done, nothing worth mentioning. Just another "lets make a movie in the woods" thing, that will pass by you, without leaving an impression, without even noticing it was there at some point.Sure the budget was small, cause it is the easiest indie type of horror, the woods one, the acting was somewhat OK, the characters had some core, but after the first half, it all goes down the drain. It just becomes bad, when you get to see where this is heading...wow. So most of you, lucky people, will stay away from it, and get something good in return. Woods horror movies: plenty! Pick your choice. Zellwood is avoidable. Watch it at your own peril!
