Das Kindermädchen Audience Reviews

Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Gutsycurene Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) This is a 90-minute television movie from three years ago. It stars Jan Josef Liefers and if you are interested in German films, you may have heard about some of the other actors as well, such as Wörner, Habeck or Allmayer. The worst thing about this film is probably the writing. No surprise as, in contrast to the film's director the writer was very unexperienced when this was made. Quotes like "Nothing serious? Still your area of expertise?" or random English sentences really hurt this film on quite a couple occasions. Same goes for all those supposedly-funny one-liners for Liefers' character. He has these in really all his films and it's become so repetitive and unfunny by now. In general, this is one of these typical Liefers films. Many women around him, he always wears suit and tie, he plays the same character as always, a guy with morals and authority and basically a good person, but he has his flaws too. And there are some seemingly very important references, here historic references back to the days of World War II. The fact that this film got a Bambi nomination pretty much shows that this awards is nothing worth anymore these days.
