Daddy's Little Girls Audience Reviews

Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Catherina If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
comedylover88 My very first review, since the message boards are no longer here. I remember going to see this film when it was released, on a free movie night for the college campus. Anyway, on with the movie. This was the movie my friend/roommate and I chose. Being a Tyler Perry film, we thought it would be another comedy in the vein of Madea. We were mistaken. As much as I like his comedies, this film was a great change of tone, this time around. The events surrounding the protagonist and his children, are sadly similar to what my father went through before he gained full custody of my older half brother. Very, very eerily similar. There were a few times during the movie, where I looked over at my friend, and she pulled out a tissue and was wiping the tears from her eyes. All because of what happened in the beginning of the film and when the girls were being abused by their mother and her boyfriend. We left the theater awestruck. Powerful acting from the entire cast! I didn't realize until I scrolled through the filmography earlier, but those three sisters are sisters in real life! Same first names too. How cool is that? I mean, you can tell they are sisters through their chemistry. Yes, this probably my favorite Tyler Perry movie that I have ever seen, by far.
aevans-693-464414 Daddy's Little Girls may not have been the most successful movie but I thought it was very sweet. It was about a blue collar father, Monty, who lost his three daughters to their neglectful mother. He looks to find help from a successful and lonely lawyer who at first doesn't really want to help him. The two quickly become close and fall in love. The story seems to me to be very predictable but I did love it. I felt that everyone that was in the movies acted very well I believe that Tyler Perry really brought it out of them.I particularly only watched it because it was a movie made by successful director, producer, and writer Tyler Perry. He usually makes very funny films which have morals and lessons learned. I felt that everyone that was in the movies acted very well I believe that Tyler Perry really brought it out of them. This film followed Perry's recipe for success like his other films. Perry always injects his main characters with a love of God and the church while the antagonists in the story are always trying to hurt and bring them down. I thought that the movie was really cute but should have been better especially being a Tyler Perry film.
billyfish Aside from the fairy-tale ending, this movie had many realistic moments, especially those concerning a successful lawyer dating a down-on-his-luck neighborhood mechanic with a criminal record. Naturally all her friends looked down on her new boyfriend because he was not a professional, even though they tried to set her up with a series of losers -- who were overplayed as such to make a point. All that said, many of the characters and situations in the movie held the ring of truth, and the acting was solid. OK, it ended up with the bad guys going down and the good guys winning, but even so it was a fun and fairly realistic ride. The protagonists were likable and the settings believable. If you think feel-good movies are sappy, don't watch this one -- but it's hard not to feel good to see a father win his three little girls back from his pathetic ex-wife and her drug dealer boyfriend...
zactac Daddy's Little Girls is my favorite Tyler Perry film so far. I am a recent fan of Tyler Perry's work my first film being Meet the Browns and ever since I was hooked. Tyler Perry works hard to make his films feel real and he never disappoints. In this film a man is trying to buy a garage while helping his three daughters grandmother take care of them. When tragedy strikes an almost never-ending battle for his children begins. As he must try and get his children back from the clutches of their drug dealing mother he is about to fail. Then a successful yet mean lawyer comes into his life just in time. With her help he might be able get his daughters back and maybe find someone to love just as all hope seemed lost. This is probably one of Tyler Perry's most realistic films. It has some humor to help lighten the mood and some nice moments to give you a good feeling of whats about to happen.
