That was an excellent one.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Copout is a massive disappointment. Maybe the expectations were too high but the film lacks a coherent story, its pacing is atrocious and even the chemistry between Willis and Morgan is pretty much nonexistent. There were high hopes because Kevin Smith is a good filmmaker especially in the comedy genre and both Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan are good at comedy (Check out Willis in Death becomes her). This was a stab at the buddy cop genre and a play on Willis's iconic Die Hard role but the film fails miserably.

With the talents of Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan and a Hollywood size budget. I can't believe how someone could write such a lame script.Tracy Morgan was the only good thing about this Movie. He was funny despite a meh ish script.Bruce Willis was a boring straight man. He's only really interesting when he has a good script because he is a uninteresting actor, which he did not have in this filmThe storyline is very generic and boring and garners no interest for the action. There were a few good moments with Tracy Morgan like in the beginning and his Wikipedia facts about apes giving oral that NEARLY made me laugh out loud but that's all.

This movie is about two policemen that try to solve a case, and they are supposed to be funny, a threadbare theme that we've seen many times, and in this case, the humour is pathetic.Bruce Willis (what is he doing here, he must be ashamed) has a partnership with Tracy Morgan (there is no chemistry between them), and here we have a problem: Morgan always tries to be funny, but all he can do is to shout or be exaggerated in almost all scenes, or can be even worst when he talks about his feces for minutes (nobody deserves it!!).The script is weak and forced, the protagonists are ludicrous, and even the music can't help that much. So, the best thing to do about this movie is forget it and do not lose your precious time with such crap.

There are some great cop movies. There is a fair amount of enjoyable cop movies. There are plenty of cop movies that are terrible. There are occasions where cop movies reach the point of beyond bad. Skip five more steps down that can be used to describe the quality of cop movies, and there you will find "Cop Out".Jim and Paul are partners. They love their job, but their job can't seem to love them. On the road, they are surrounded by asshole criminals. On the station, they are surrounded by bigger asshole co-workers. In the beginning of the film, they get suspended, which means by the end of the film, they will regain their honor. Anyway, between the beginning and the ending, Jim and Paul embark on a journey.Because they are honorable cops who are dedicated for the greater good, the two of them, without any form of authority, hunt down a missing baseball card, look for a missing car that doesn't contain the missing baseball card, investigate a case about a Mexican gang leader who kills one of his henchmen every 20 minutes because he misses his missing car, and some other issues that I didn't really forget but refuse to include here.Read more here: http://localmoviereview.com/cop/
