How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

The Pink Panther smells food at a picnic and decides to help himself to a picnic basket. However, he inadvertently takes a basket with a baby inside instead and, before he could return it to its parents, the family drives away. So, the panther is left to care for the baby for the night, and he proves he can be quite the babysitter! Some very nice, adorable moments here and some funny moments that will generate some chuckles. From the panther bathing the baby in the river to him accidentally flipping him up onto a tree branch, there are some hilarious moments here! Grade B+

With the Pink Panther cartoons, there are a number of great ones, most are solid and entertaining and some of the later ones weren't quite as good. Congratulations Pink Panther falls into the solid and entertaining camp, though the story is silly, can fall into predictable territory and it's not always credible. The animation is elegant and colourful, done in that very traditional simple style that is always charming to watch. The music is upbeat and stays in your head at least. And for a theme tune so well-known and iconic, the theme tune is still as infectious as ever. The gags are very funny and show some imagination, the gag with the rattlesnake was particularly noteworthy. Pinky always has been a very likable character, very cool and naturally funny, if you like that about it you'll not be disappointed at all in Congratulations Pink Panther. He does work slightly better when he has a foil and when he's doing the outsmarting, but you can relate to him still here when he makes mistakes trying to do the right thing. Plus it is a subject that anybody especially parents can relate with equally, and admire Pinky for the effort he makes. The baby is cute too.In conclusion, an entertaining Pink Panther cartoon. 8/10 Bethany Cox

The big joke here is a little baby being passed around and around and the Pink Panther being unable to unload the kid....and then having to care for him like a parent.I know it's a cartoon but it loses all credibility right of the bat when a family picnicking at some campsite leaves their baby behind by mistake???! I don't think so! Anyway, the Pink Panther thought it was a basket of food (it was wrapped up) and takes it by mistake. There are some very clever and funny sight gags, such as the Panther milking a milk truck, mistaking an "accident" because a skunk walked by and the PP (no pun intended) smelled something, and unscrewing a rattlesnake's tail to use to calm the crying baby....and then having snake start crying! I will say this: the Panther seemed to know how to treat a baby, doing things according to the books. Mothers watching this must have been impressed!A silly premise, but this turned out to be another funny cartoon with some good laughs.

Desperately hungry, the Pink Panther does a Yogi Bear-style theft of a picnic basket from a huge family of campers only to discover that he's actually stolen a baby instead of food when he finally settles down to eat it. He runs all the way back to return it but the family have already taken-off, apparently forgetting about their newborn.Pinky tries to leave the baby with other animals and with local Indian tribes but has no luck and the baby is promptly handed back each time. And that's about it really, he doesn't do much else. There's only a couple of laughs but they're good enough to warrant a 6/10. Otherwise, it's below average.
