Mary Mangan
I had seen a handful of these futuristic graphic art pieces in the past, and I was a devotee of the Sunday comics pages as a kid in ways kids today won't be. But I had no idea about this series and this artist as a whole. This was a fascinating look at the context, the pieces, and the predictions of a techno-optimist, with helpful details about the artist's life that help us place this work in its time, and in ours. I think it has messages about how we envision the future (or not), as well. I think science communication has something to learn from this. And it makes me want to find out who is today's Radebaugh and what they are envisioning. Wonderful, and I want to watch it again after I think about it some more.
